I picked this hotel as I was on a trip to celebrate a friend's bday and I didn't want to pay the $420 US a night they were at the Roxy which is right around the corner.

booked a room two months ago. I arrived at the hotel with a rented car. My plan was to leave the suitcases in the hotel and immediately go out and return the car to the rental company. I asked the clerk where I could park...More
Very good location with trains nearby; and convenient walks to financial district. Busy Chinatown area of city, street noise obvious. Tiny little rooms, clean enough, hotel staff personable, working air conditioning and elevators. Not a hotel to lounge around in your room, but perfect for...More
As a family of 4, we spent 8 nights. On arrival, we were a little daunted by our first impression of the neighbour - busy, slightly grubby, lots of tourist shops and counterfeit street sellers but hotel itself was welcoming, bright and clean in reception....More
We were there for two nights. The location is great in Soho with most metro/trainlines very close. Roughly 20min walk down to financial district.
The room was very clean but small. Thankfully, lot of space to the ceiling so didn't feel claustrophobic.

United States > New York > New York City > Chinatown / Manhattan
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where
many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.

I think it would be fine... Your 18 which is considered to be an adult in the US... When I bought this online I went through booking and they never ask your age I paid with my credit card online right away I've never heard of the rule your asking well at least for the US and that's where I'm from living in the UK... We use to live close to Wall Street so when I hear Chinatown I was worried but it's a cute hotel, clean, our room was small bit in another occasion we got the bigger bed and that room was huge the whole place is quiet even though it's on a busy street... When visiting from another country they may or may not ask to see your passport but I think that's standard though ... Have fun!
