Stayed overnight after visiting family. All staff were extremely helpful. Daniel and Angel helped us arrive and depart. They are part of a very convenient car valet service. After our family visit we visited the restaurant/bar sat by a nice gas fireplace and enjoyed several drinks The morning of departure we went back to the restaurant but had missed the...

My daughter and I just returned from 5 days at the Walker. It was my first visit to this hotel. It will not be my last. Was referred to the Walker by colleagues at NYU with whom I was in town meet and to attend special events. From the moment we hit the door, EVERYONE--from the doorman to the front...

Our stay at the Walker hotel was pleasant and charming. The Walker hotel is a well disguised gem in the heart of Greenwich village. The great thing about the location of the hotel is its proximity to 5th Avenue, both the East and West village as well as Union square. One great aspect of the hotel is that it does...

Stayed with my family for a week over Easter. Really liked this hotel. Yes, the rooms are small and the restaurant is a bit overpriced, but we found the place to be cosy with very friendly staff. Best of all is the location. A short walk from Greenwich village, Washington Square, Chelsea, the high line, West village, Union Square ....

Such a fun, welcoming hotel in the heart of Greenwich Village. Every staff member I interacted with treated me like I was a special guest. Warm inviting atmosphere. Very comfortable beds. Well appointed. It's small so you don't feel overwhelmed. I will definitely visit again when in New York City.

We booked the highest category room the hotel had, but found the rooms to be tiny, even by New York standards. Another issue that came up was cleaning. All the days of our visit we left the room at around 8am and would be back by 12-1pm to find the room not yet cleaned. When mentioning that to the hotel...

Wonderful stay; at first was disappointed in size of room, bed, etc, but after staying there, totally comfortable and appreciated the quality of the room, bed, linens, shower, bathroom supplies (but would like up graded t-p). Would also like a light weight blanket. LOVED breakfast. Don't ever take the avocado toast with eggs off the menu! Loved also the waiter...

Rooms are really small ,so are the beds (1,60) and you better beware of extras : our waiter asked if we wanted our scrambled eggs with bacon - the eggs are in the menu but the bacon is extra ! also ,our room was not well cleaned unfortunate when you pay 470$ a day .

My two teenagers and I just stayed 5 days in Walker Greenwich Hotel and this is definitely where we will stay in the future, when we come to NYC. The location is just perfect! The Village itself is charming with trees and beautiful townhouses and you can reach both Meatpacking, High Line Park, Soho and Flat Iron within 15 minutes...

Be prepared. The rooms are small. BUT they are also lovely! Very clean, bright & up to date. Plenty of room for one person. If you get a little claustrophobic, there's lots of comfy gathering space in the lobby. The staff is the nicest I've experienced in NYC & the location was awesome. Our breakfast was top notch! Great stay--I'll...

Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighbourhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighbourhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighbourhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
