Needed a hotel near the West Village at a decent price. Loved the Walker Hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful to point me in the direction of restaurants in the area. Room was small but I was by myself so no worries. Rooms can be very close together and if you have noisy neighbors, it may feel like they are right in your room with you. Wish the doors would close quieter. Dinner at hotel restaurant was yummy and several good options within a few blocks. Will be back for sure!
Beautiful boutique hotel, intimate lobby with music, bottles of water anytime, rooms that are welcoming with fantastic beds/bedding! Many thanks to Dave for arranging transportation to and from airport, Trevor, always there with dinner suggestions! The group at the front desk. Maria , Justin and Rosa always there with a smile and offering to help. Hats off to Matt, you changed our room once my son arrived and we got a wonderful corner room with 2 Queen beds. My blanket was too heavy and someone actually went out and BOUGHT me a new lighter blanket! We loved this place. The staff was so genuine and accommodating! Thank you Walker Hotel you gave us everything we hoped for!! We will be back!!!
Walker hotel in Greenwich village is my new favorite. Not only is it in a fantastic location (20 min walk to many hot spots and really close to the subway lines), the service was also fantastic. Chris at the front desk was very accommodating and was able to upgrade our room so we wouldn’t have to wait too long for check in. Everyone at the hotel made sure we had the best time.
Thanks the Walker was the prefect place and position for our holiday. Great location and all staff helpful, view from our room was amazing and loved the foyer and feel of the hotel. Room was spotless and cleaned everyday. Thanks to you all we had an amazing time.
Lovely hotel. Location fab, staff so friendly. Amazing view of the Empire State Building from our 14th floor room. Bed so comfy and shower fab. Prosecco and cake left in our room for our Anniversary. Thank you so much. Highly recommended. So sad to be leaving
I stayed at this hotel as part of a corporate offsite. The rooms are spacious by NYC standards, beautiful, clean, and the staff was very friendly and organized. The manager really took care of me while I waited for my room to be ready (set me up with a place to work, brought me sparkling water), and made sure I always had coffee when I needed it. (: I also enjoyed a late-night glass of Pinot Noir from the bar that I brought to my room at the end of our company meetings. Thank you!
Booked a 2 night stay with my wife through the hotel website. They force you to include either wine or dessert sweets to the booking, just to add another unnecessary fee. So I added the sweets, which we never received. Then 11 days after we checked out, we were charged another $21.78 for no apparent reason. When I called, they told me it was due to “taking something from the refreshment bar” which we never did. When I asked what item was taken, they couldn’t tell me. I called them to request a refund 3 days ago and was told they would refund the extra charges. I asked for a confirmation email, however nothing has been done or sent as of yet. I can afford these stupid extra charges. It’s the principle that matters. If the hotel needs more money, they should charge more for the rooms instead of nickel & diming customers with crazy charges that make no sense.…
We've stayed here several times. Restaurant has good food and vibe, and the hotel lobby is a nice place to relax and have a drink or to start the day. Ask for room with a view of Empire State. Nice staff.
It pains me to give a Poor rating because I really wanted to like the hotel but the untrained staff really let the location down. With issues of our room not being ready by check-in time (45 minutes after, not 5 or 10), to our room not being cleaned during our stay until after 5:00pm, it seems as though there needs to be a bit more training or supervision put into the operation. I should specify that the issues are not even with the cleaning staff, the front staff's poor and inadequate handling of these issues compounded the disappointment for us. Although the room was more than satisfactory and the location was superb, we will look elsewhere the next time in NYC.
This hotel was probably sleek and clean in its early days, but I think the management has really let the standards slide. Clueless staff, torn sheets, somebody’s hair all over shower room and a bottle of water used by the previous occupant left by the bed - that’s how I’ll remember this place. I’ll give it a miss next time I’m in NY.
