The Towers at Lotte New York Palace boasts a prime location that guests frequently laud, citing easy access to premier shopping and dining options, as well as iconic landmarks. The cleanliness of the hotel is regularly commended, with most finding the rooms immaculate, though a handful have encountered housekeeping oversights. The rooms are often celebrated for their space and comfort, but some visitors have mentioned dated decor. Luxurious amenities and a festive atmosphere, especially during the Christmas season, are highlights, yet some guests feel the hotel's value doesn't match the cost, pointing out service inconsistencies and a few amenity shortcomings.

We booked our wedding reception and hotel room block at the Lotte New York Palace for our October 2023 wedding and it was honestly the best decision we ever made. The entire staff, especially our wedding coordinator/catering manager Adam Riegler have been nothing short of amazing & extremely accommodating, even upgrading my entire family’s rooms to the Towers and my suite to the Champagne Suite. He went above and beyond in every way to make our wedding everything we wanted. From the speciality cocktails, to the rooms, to letting us implement our Greek traditions, my entire family was blown away at the first class service. They honestly made our wedding weekend seem like a real life fairytale and went above and beyond to make sure that everything was perfect. This was a momentous occasion for my family and thanks to the Lotte and its staff - especially Adam Riegler and Pete Sofides - we will have the most special memories to cherish forever!! On our wedding day, it was raining outside.. Pete and Adam made sure not a drop of rain got on my dress and even came with me to my off site church ceremony to make sure I got to the aisle without a raindrop touching me. You don’t get this level of service at any other hotel. This hotel and its staff is a true gem and will hold a very special place in my family’s hearts forever.

We are forever indebted to everyone at the Lotte NY Palace for making our wedding weekend so special and unforgettable. Every guest was in awe of how spectacular the accommodations and the wedding were. Can’t wait to come back and see our NY Palace family every year for our anniversary! :) we love you!!!!

We stay here frequently for business and vacation travel and it’s our favorite NYC hotel. The staff are consistently friendly and helpful. We grab breakfast at Pomme Palais every morning before heading out to work and love the great selection of pastries and breakfast sandwiches as well as the piping hot coffee (extra points for the coffee sleeves!). The rooms are generously sized and the windows open so that you can adjust the in-room climate to your taste. There are convenient and plentiful outlets. The bathrooms are stocked with Molton Brown bath products and the bath sheets are plush without pilling. The garage is convenient (and covered) with a doorway directly into the hotel lobby so you’re protected from the elements and can unload/pack your car with relative privacy. There is a downstairs lounge which has a private club feel and plush soft spaces keeping the noise levels down and providing a nice spot for cocktails and conversation. We can’t wait until our next stay!

We chose The Lotte New York Palace because of its location, but now I can not only recommend for location, but also for the quality and service it offers.

I emailed prior to our stay with room requests such as kettle and also a higher floor. Both requests were accommodated - for which I am very grateful.

Prior to arriving. Diego ( concierge) replied to my emails with my queries regarding tourist attractions etc. His suggestions and prompt, friendly replies made me feel at ease planning the days of my trip.

During my stay Christian ( Concierge) helped us understand the Subway. He also suggested two restaurants, booking them for me and texting me with the time and location.

Miles Gomez ( Front Desk Manager) allowed us to swap rooms on our last day, so we could stay in a room for longer as we had a very late flight. For this I am most grateful, we could enjoy some more sightseeing and come back to the comfort of private facilities before our long flight.

House keepers did a great job, lovely comfy beds, spotlessly clean rooms and they greeted you with a cheerful smile when we saw them.

In my opinion, the upgrade to a Cathedral view is a must, the view it amazing of St Patrick’s, which being slightly lower means you get great views of Rockefeller, Top of the Rocks and the NY skyline. We had room 2620.

Subway is just 5 mins walk either to Lexington 51st St or at Rockefeller.

I was a nervous mum bringing my son to New York on my own. I felt safe in and around the hotel even walked back from restaurants at night.

Thank you to all the staff at the Lotte New York Palace…. You made my son’s first trip to the States perfect!

To be fair, we had a 2-BR suite at Christmas-time, so our price was artificially inflated, but it was one of the most expensive rooms we've ever booked so we had high expectations. The room, a 2-BR towers corner suite was/is *gorgeous*, and the whole family loved it for Christmas day. However, the experience could have been so much better for the crazy price:
-- Wifi barely worked at all. When we went to the front desk there was some sorta "yeah we've been hearing that a lot" but no "we've got someone working on it" (yes, again, Xmas). They then gave us the "VIP" wifi which worked better, but I think more and more people were on it over time it degraded by day 2 or 3 also.
-- The TV experience isn't great. The main "TV" has no grid/channel selector, so you can't scroll for what's on; we found in our second bedroom "as we were leaving" that there was a paper guide, but we didn't have one in our main living room so spent a lot of time pushing up-arrow to see what was on. It's also not a "smart TV" -- no built-in YT or Netflix -- they had Chromecast, but since the wifi was unusable ... we didn't do what we hoped for Xmas, which was watch an Xmas movie.
-- The corner suites have a "kitchen". However, the kitchen had all 100% empty drawers -- not a single spoon, or drinking glass, or plate, or anything. For $2500/night this was exceptionally disappointing. We arrived late the first night and around 10pm asked if we could have some coffee mugs and/or stirring spoons to make hot chocolate for our kids, and were met with a response as if we'd asked for something illegal -- just completely "impossible". Similarly one night a bit past 10 we asked if it was possible to get any ice, and got a similar not-super-polite reponse that that was impossible.

This seems unreasonable for $2500/night of a room with a "kitchen"??? Why have a kitchen and make it largely unusable?

Dear KCalifornian, Thank you for your feedback. We're glad to hear that you found the 2-BR Towers Corner Suite to be beautiful and that your family enjoyed it for Christmas. However, we deeply regret that the experience fell short of your expectations, especially given the price point. We apologize for the issues you encountered with the Wi-Fi, TV experience, and the kitchen amenities. The Wi-Fi performance is certainly not up to our standards, and we understand how frustrating this must have been, especially during your holiday stay. We will be addressing this with our technical team to ensure that future guests have a reliable connection. Regarding the TV and the kitchen, we apologize for the lack of basic items that you should have had access to, especially in a suite of this caliber. We will be reviewing our inventory and service procedures to ensure that all kitchenettes are fully stocked and that requests for items, such as coffee mugs, stirring spoons, and ice, are met with greater flexibility and efficiency. We appreciate your patience and valuable input and will take these concerns into account as we strive to improve our services. We hope you will consider giving us another opportunity to provide you with a more seamless and enjoyable stay in the future. Sincerely, Uwe Kunz, General Manager

Me, my wife and 3 yearold daughter stayed at the towers lotte palace on the first week of Decemeber 2024.

I really wanted to love this place. There were elements of it that were amazing. It is cery well located just off fifth avenue and a close walk to Rockafella center, central park and times square. The space we had was incredible for New York! We stayed in a tower corner one bed suite and had two bathrooms a huge living room small bar/kitchen area and large bedroom. Unfortunately this cost about $2k per night and after location and space things went down hill.

For that price point we have stayed at fabulous luxury properties around the world; Dubai, Maldives, Seychelles, London etc. in all cases for a luxury price point you expect st lesst good if not great service and I felt this a little lacking.

The room itself was a little dated and worn. The bath ran dirty water if you turned the tap too much. The taps leaked, soem of the sockets did not work, one hung off the wall which had it not been obscured by furniture would have been a big safety hazard for our daughter! The issues were mentioned, an engineer was scheudled to visit (twice). We dont know if he came while we were out or not but nothing was fixed.

We had no house keeping for the first two days, provacy button was on. We asked it be ignpred as we couls not turn it off. Eventually we got shown on the third day a switch located right in the middle of the room with no explanation of what it does. The shower gel was empty. This too was mentioned twice and never replaced. None of the other amenities such as the bath salts ever got repalced either.

While there were a couple of friendly staff most seemed at best short/stern and in some cases borderline rude. The breakfast at the villard was particularly bad (forgotten orders, inability to book, hit or miss if there was pace, expensive and very unfriendly staff with the exception of Megan who helped my daughter secure a dairy free pancake as she has a milk alllergy. Overall the staff did not seem friendly and customer service overall was lacking.

All in all a little disappointing for the cost and the fact that the place has so much potential. i lwould not rush back given the weallth of luxury hotels in New York

The Hotel is truly beautiful - the rooms are comfortable and the view from the Tower is amazing but....
The staff are very unfriendly - we stayed for 7 nights and were barely greeted with a grunt of recognition when we exited or entered the hotel.
Our reservation included breakfast each morning - I can't imagine a ruder or less friendly greeting at a restaurant ever - and this included at least 3 hosts during our 7 night stay. If we had not paid for the breakfast we would have dined elsewhere each day.
The rooms do not have tea or coffee making facilities - we were touring New York and it would have been lovely to return to our rooms to make a cup of tea. We could purchase this from the cafe downstairs, but it was served in a paper cup and was take away only.
The coffee at breakfast cost $12 USD for a cappucino so I expected that it would be barista made - NO - It was a push button pod machine coffee that tasted like a pod machine coffee. So over priced even for New York.
Overall the team at the Palace made us feel like intruders and that we were not welcome. We expect to return to New York to explore further but we will not be returning to the Palace

This is the third time that we have stayed here. The rooms are always spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The front desk is always very helpful and the hotel is so conveniently located. Everything has been thought of.

But this time, there were a few places the hotel fell short. There was a housekeeping closet behind our room and there would be loud noises and things would fall frequently. One morning, the sounds woke us up at 6 AM. I would recommend requesting not to stay near the elevator. We also had some guests that were rather loud at 11 PM who woke my sleeping child up. Also, housekeeping did not come one day at all, and we had to call for assistance as evening arrived. Also, upon check-out the front desk could not get the restaurant to post our final morning breakfast after several calls so that I could have the final bill. I waited 10 minutes, and it just wasn't going to happen so the front desk finally said that she would e-mail me the bill. Unfortunately, that did not happen as well.

This hotel has a lot going for it but fell short of the mark this visit.

Our family chose the Lotte New York Palace for our pre Christmas visit to the city. The western views from our 54th floor room overlooking St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Madison Ave., and Rockefellar Center were breathtaking and the service at the door with the bell staff was wonderful. Unfortunately, in looking back at our time there, we really couldn’t point at much else that would justify the 5 star pricing and reputation.

Many basic amenities you receive at other luxury properties were gated behind either having to be “requested” each time or being eliminated due to Covid, including any basic in room coffee service, daily complementary water, or mini bar. Turn down service was not offered, we had five people staying in our suite so we would have to utilize a couch pull out. When our request for housekeeping to help us make that bed was honored, the housekeeper angrily told us that she would not be pulling out a couch and we would need to do that. Washclothes were never replaced, basic tidying that you receive at other 5 star resorts such as curling iron cords wrapped, toothbrushes on washcloths, just never happened in our stay. We did request at the front desk for complementary waters, we never received them, but they were very quick to send up 6 when you pay $100 to room service.

There are too many luxury options in NYC for us to consider staying here again, despite the convenient location and the views. At the end of the day, rude front desk/housekeeping staff and having to request any basic feature just isn’t worth it.

For a NY hotel right in the middle of all the action, it was exceptionally quiet. Could not hear any neighbors or traffic below, so top notch noise isolation, which is a huge plus in my book and a rarity for a NY hotel with a good location. Spacious room, which is a rarity, too. Great hot chocolate at the Winter Bar in the courtyard by the tree. Magnificent views of St Patrick's Cathedral, which is right across the street.

Unfortunately, this is where the good ends and the not so good begins. We arrived at 1 am with hungry children only to find that there was no 24-hour room service. At these prices, really?! Note that they do have a late menu on the website, which is FALSE ADVERTISING because the operator told me the menu should have been taken down, as no food is available after 10 pm. If I knew this in advance, I would not have booked here, so I suffered actual damages due to the false advertising here.

Also, not a glass to be found in this big room. Nowhere to even put your toothbrush. I called and asked for glasses, and was offered plastic cups instead. Lovely.

When we did get to try the food at the hotel at breakfast, it was awful. Just plain bad. Eggs benedict was barely warm and tasteless. Again, this should not happen on Madison Avenue. Fire the chef, get a better one, the one that actually does justice to your beautiful space.

We had a very nice stay at the Towers at Lotte New York Palace for 6 nights in March. The hotel has a georgous, grand design in the main building with a very convenient location just opposite St. Patricks's cathedral and only a very short walk from Sak's 5th avenue and the stores and restaurants at Rockefeller center.
We had a towers corner suite which was very spacious and overall well appointed, though it could have been better cleaned upon arrival as several furniture items had quite some dust on the surface. Cleaning service thereafter was better.

Room for improvement are the dining options. There isn't a proper restaurant for dinner in the hotel, only some bar food (and room service obviously). Whilst there are many options in the area, a hotel of such standard should offer a proper restaurant for dinner for guests who do not want to go out each night.
Breakfast at Villard (and in adjacent gold room) was hit and miss. It is a very beautiful setting but extremely tight with small tables cramped in this rather small room for such a large hotel. Service is trying their best but are clearly a bit overwhelmed. Food quality was mostly good with some misses on some morning. As a hotel with such high number of rooms, they should consider opening a second breakfast restaurant.

Would we stay here again? Maybe, given there are many options at this premium price level in NYC.

The Tower rooms and baths are completely updated and very large. The Palace rooms are a bit smaller and I dint know if have been updated. I’ve stayed in both but prefer the Tower. It won’t disappoint.
