stayed with my family at the Homewood Suites NYC Manhattan and overall the hotel is good but has maintenance issues ( faulty AC). The staff though is what makes this place a good one. I'd like to recognize the two maintenance guys that came to our room to fix the issues. Don't know their names but they were great. Also Valentín is also an angel. Very polite and hard working young man. He answered all my questions and he's bilingual!
This hotel is in an excellent location between 8th and 9th Avenues and we were able to get a king room at a great rate. The rooms have mini-kitchens with a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. (We stayed at the Marriott Marquis once, paid a ton more, and the room had nothing, not even a coffee maker!) This Homewood Suites room had great air quality and a fan above the bed. Clean washroom and shower. The hotel offers a breakfast option that I imagine is even better when there isn't a pandemic. Coffee, tea, or hot chocolate is available all day. Also, I really appreciate the self-serve laundry facilities; ALL hotels should offer guests this option. BONUS: You can go to the hotel's wonderful rooftop with your own bevvy at night. What a terrific way to meet new people!
I would like to thank Valentín for being so helpful with the mess I did with the coffee at the breakfast. He is a really nice and polite person. And I would also want to thank Miguel on the front desk because he lend me his personal umbrella in a rainy day and save our walk. Thank you.
We enjoyed staying relatively close to Penn Station. It is a pretty good neighborhood, convenient to walking to many nearby places. On our last day we walked to the Hell's Kitchen area and found it very modern and interesting. Our room was pretty good for four people and all our stuff. We did use the sofabed and it stuck out in our walkway a bit too far. We bought drinks in the hotel convenient store a couple of times. That was fine. What was not good was the ice cream we decided to buy once. The ice cream cones were very old and tasted terrible. I don't recommend anyone buying the frozen items there. I think the hotel should not even stock frozen items if they are going to let them sit and get that old and tasteless.
Room was quite large and had a nice kitchenette. Very friendly staff. Staff was a 10 out of 10. Great location: 37th street between 8th and 9th avenue. Lobby had coffee available, its seemed, all throughout the day. Water pressure in shower wasn't the strongest but that may be just NYC thing. Hotel may want to do, especially during the summer months, keep a cold water cistern available in the lobby. They would have this out for breakfast but then remove it after breakfast. It would of been nice it they kept this next to the coffee through out the day.
Family of 5 with 3 teenagers for five nights. Got a great price and the room is a decent size by Manhattan standards, given that we were not spending much time there, though might not be considered big by some! Excellent central location, a few blocks from the madness of Times Square and walking distance from the High Line, Penn Station, Madison Square Garden and several Subway lines. There were a few 'interesting' characters on the street the hotel was in, but not in a threatening way. Breakfast was included and was fine, saved going out looking each day, hot food selection was basic, but rest of the selection was good. 2 Bros Pizza takeaway one block is cheap and tasty if looking for a quick bite on the hoof, you can also bring food back to the outdoor area at the back and there's a small rooftop garden, so you don't ever need to eat in the room. Room was quiet and cool, we were on 6th floor looking over the street and never heard a sound from street or from other rooms. All staff we met were friendly and helpful, a plus! Recommended for a group stay in NYC. …
Lizabeth & Felix were super caring and attentive and ive never felt so welcomed at another hotel before, Thank you so much! Food was warm and everything was clean, They were prepared and polite. We will be back!
Everyone at this hotel was great. The rooms were tidy, clean. Breakfast was to my liking. There is free wifi which was very convenient because I was able to keep in touch with my family. I definitely recommend this Hotel to anyone.
I spent an amazing time at Homewood Suites Hilton for my 30th birthday holiday. All staff was friendly, in particular I want to address a special thanks to Lenny Terrero, the Housekeeping Manager, who helped me to sent a package I forgot from the hotel to Italy. I received today the package with everything inside, and I was so happy since the staff I forgot has an important sentimental value. Lenny has been personally in touch with me via mobile phone for three days. She helped me in the shipping with patient and taking care, showing a problem solving and a deep professional attitude. I really appreciate my stay at Homewood, feeling like at home. I'll be happy to come back here for next times in NYC. Thank you Micol
I was in the city for a few days for meeting. the location of this hotel allowed me to easily get around the city to my meetings and then walk to restaurants and entertainment in the evenings. The staff was really friendly, professional and had great recommendations for things to do in Midtown. I highly recommend the the hotel for a business or leisure stay.
