Ok, perhaps it is a really bad idea to get the very first impression of Renaissance chain in NYC since I basically need to lower my expectation by 2 to 3 levels. Pros: a star for location, two stars for very nice and helping staffs. Cons: this is the tiniest room that I have ever stayed in the entire world....

Hotel 57 is a classy hotel. This is one of the Marriott autograph collection hotels. It just has a cool feel to it. My room has a big bathroom and walk in shower. I have a queen size bed, a chair for sitting by the bed and a sofa. The desk is built into the wall. Plenty of room to...

I stayed at this hotel for an evening during a long stayover between flights. Check-in staff was friendly and very welcoming. The room itself was clean and my room has an updated bathroom. I would have appreciated more lighting in the room, it was quite dark with all the lights on. The towels were a bit thin and small. Tho...

The location of this Renaissance is perfect for UES activities. Construction to the outside of the building currently makes it a little tough to find, but once you do it's a great spot. Check in staff and doormen were excellent and seeing their bright smiling faces each time I went out was a positive. It would be easy to get...

This is my 3rd visit to the 57. I LOVE IT. Cozy, hip, clean and comfy. Raymond at front desk is the best. He is kind, helpful and extremely knowledgable of all city sites and locations. Lucy, Daniel, and Pernel are also helpful and make you feel like family. The breakfast included is yummy and the bar Opia is great....

We chose this hotel after having a great stay at the Marriott Renaissance in Times Square. This hotel is no where close to the pictures provided. Only some rooms have been updated. After moving from an old one with chipped wood on all cabinets and peeling fabric from furniture, we were still very disappointed with the "upgrade". The TV was...

This, the check in desk told me, is the nicest room in the hotel and they were not kidding. It's actually a suite and in the living room area is a brick wall presumably part of the original structure. The hotel is more like a boutique hotel as opposed to a major chain and that was a break for me....

Stayed on 16th floor, large closet space. Very unexpected for New York City. Great location for shopping and Central Park. The concierge lounge had a little to be desired but everything else was awesome. Highly recommend the hotel!

I spent the weekend at this hotel. Interesting decor ~ very comfortable bed but had issues. When I checked in, there was NO soap or shampoo. Housekeeping quickly fixed that; however my 1st morning, there was no water.... It was quickly fixed, but disappointing. My 3rd morning, I barely had enough water to finish a shower and it quit again....

Spent a night here recently while visiting Manhattan. We were very pleased with the reception and our accommodations. The room was clean, comfortable and functional. However, we had two issues. Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
