We had a delightful stay here in Hotel Mela. Staff was very friendly & our room was nice & clean. Elevators are slow but not so bad. I didn't have any problem with the outside noise, our room was very sound proof. It was only a 2 minute walk from Times Square & their's plenty of places to eat at...

Stayed here in June location is fantastic right on Times Square, rooms are on the small side but how long are you going to spend in there? The double was a squeeze, but the room was clean with ample small ensuite coffee maker. It was value or money , in a great location, extremely helpful staff, would stay here again.

I stayed here for a weekend with a girlfriend and had an amazing time. It's in the most amazing location, walking distance to Times Square, Broadway, 5th Avenue, Grand Central Station, St. Patrick's cathedral, etc. Everyone at the hotel was super friendly and really helpful, particularly the concierge, JP - he gave us such great advice and seemed to know...

As a family of four, this was not the place for us. The elevators were so small literally only four people could fit and that is without luggage. The rooms are very small. The carpeting and the bathrooms have seen better days. There is absolutely no counter space in the bathroom or anywhere in the room. The walls are paper...

The hotel is in a great location. The service at the hotel was great, Bárbara Desalles was very helpful. The only thing is that The rooms are very small, but half a block from times square and two blocks away from the subway

Our hotel of choice when visiting NYC!! My daughter & I have stayed at Hotel Mela several times during our many visits to NYC. This boutique style establishment has lots of charisma and is perfectly located within walking distance to Times Square in one direction and the beautiful Bryant Park the other. We have always been made to feel welcome...

Spent a week at the Mela and were impressed. We upgraded to a larger room for minimal cost and were glad we did. Upgraded room was on the smaller side but comfortable. Our 12th floor room was quiet even though it faced the street. The hotel was only half a block from Times Square which made it very convenient. The...

This was our first time at the Hotel Mela. We have stayed several times across the street at the Millenium Broadway. We decide for the price difference to try the Hotel Mela and we were very pleased.Yes, the room was small, but clean, updated, comfortable and a fabulous theater and Times Square location.

I stayed at Mela on a business trip. My boss is a regular there. They upgraded me to a two room suite. The living room have a red velvet sofa in it. At first glance it looked really cool but on closer inspection I noticed it had many stains (and not the kind you want to find in hotel rooms.)...

The location of this hotel was great. We were less than a 2 minute walk to the Time Square. The hotel was quiet but very small. Fortunately when we called to make reservations we were advised to get a slightly larger room since two of us would be staying there. I am glad we did. I can't imagine how we...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
