I stay at the Hotel Mela every year. I love the location. It is nearby the International Center for Photography on 6th Avenue@ 43rd street where I take classes. I have eaten in the restaurant, Saju Bistro many times, even when I'm not staying at...More
I love the Hotel Mela! Discovered it over a year ago online when I did a search by distance to where I work in Midtown. The rooms are small, as is usual for a Manhattan boutique hotel, but they are beautifully appointed, great beds and...More
The Mela was just perfect! Absolutely in best standard. Location was perfect, specially for the new years! Service was top notch! After moving from a 5 star hotel (where the service was REALLY bad) Mr Patrick hooked us up with THE perfect room. HIGHLY recommended!...More
My husband and I took our daughter to see Annie on Broadway and stayed at Hotel Mela. We had an amazing time. The room was the perfect size for us and very clean and modern. The hotel uses H20 spa products; which was a pleasant...More

This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the
affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

They started the facilities fee last year. They all have it but you may not notice the fine print, depending on what site you book on. It is paying for the internet, fitness center and unlimited AND long distance calls, so many visitors from out of the country appreciate that. They get a lot of guests from other countries. If your travel agent didn't tell you they should have. Their own site and Expedia and all the others note the facilities fee.
