The reason I refer to our experiences at The Bowery Hotel as "pleasant surprises" is because every hotel promises great service but they don't always deliver. The Bowery is a grand exception in that, for us, they got all the little things right.....every day, every time. Room made up AND turn down service each day at the requested time? Check. Extra half and half with room service order? Check. Extra ketchup for room service French fries? They brought the whole, unopened bottle (not the typical 'extra packets' of Sysco stuff). Would you like a newspaper delivered each morning? Could we have both the Times and the Post? Check...same time every morning. Everyone we interacted with on the staff was pleasant, engaged and genuinely helpful. Like every other business on the planet, I imagine they are challenged by staffing shortages but from our experience, you'd never know it. We just enjoyed our stay so much and highly recommend this hotel to other travelers.…
I had the pleasure of staying here last summer with a close friend and I've never felt more at home in a hotel than I did here. I have stayed in many 5 star properties all over NYC and this is by far the best. All the staff are always greeting you with a smile and genuinely happy to help. Its very clear they care about their guests. The hotel itself is so charming and has lots of character, its also well taken care of housekeeping is flawless. The food is excellent, rooms are extremely cozy and have wonderful amenities not to mention the best bathrooms in NYC. Its Exceptional staff are among the best in the industry!! I can't wait to return to The Bowery in a few weeks for another night in the city. This is truly a very special hotel!!
Spent 4 nights the Bowery recently. What a pleasure. The service was great and the place has a one-of-a-kind vibe. Rooms are well appointed, and comfy. Looking forward to another stay next time I'm in NY.
Had a fantastic stay at The Bowery recently. The room was amazing and I was given the city view tub I requested. All the staff were excellent and communication via email was always answered promptly. The area is really interesting and I would recommend checking out East Village and Tompkins Square Park.
From check-in through check-out everyone and everything at the Bowery was top notch. The Bowery was in a great location with many things very close by. I felt very comfortable walking around the neighborhood at night. The hotel had that "old-world charm" feel to it. The staff at the front desk were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The cookies and their Bowery Bear tucked into the bed at turndown added a nice touch. The coffee available for guests in the morning was delicious, as was my room service. I never had the chance to dine at their restaurant, but it always had a happy crowd there. The rooms were very clean and and well appointed with nice amenities in the bathroom. I plan on staying there my next visit to NYC.
My husband and I spent three nights at The Bowery Hotel - it was fantastic, highly recommend. The building oozes charm and character - the main level lounge, bar and outdoor patio area (overlooking a green space) are welcoming at all times of day or night. The rooms are vintagey-elegant, with unique design features and loads of character. The hotel's restaurant Gemma serves excellent food 24 hours a day - delicious. The cocktail servers are engaging and fun - by the end of the weekend we felt truly at home. The hotel is located in an excellent part of Manhattan - stroll to shops, restaurants, bars and neighbourhood finds. Close to the bridges to Brooklyn. We will definitely be back.
The best hotel downtown. An amazing location in the middle of Soho, with public spaces that allow a retreat from the crazy city. Our room was slightly noisy right on Bowery but to be expected and not as bad as we thought it would be. The chic design and cozy vibes made up for it. The service was incredible, high end but personal. Rooms and spaces were extremely clean. Food at their restaurant was great, as was the room service. It's expensive but, in my opinion, great value and worth every penny.
It was a beautiful hotel with an amazing room and the service was great. I will be returning here much more! I stayed here in May for a business trip and it was in a great central location with access too all the sights and central scenes.
It was a lovely room with an oversized bathtub, desk and sitting area. All the comforts of home. What made it so special was the service! A full welcoming and energetic crew at the front desk, including concierge, who were all delightful. We were truly cared. Great location within walking distance of great food and entertainment.
We used to live in NYC but now in London so I loved dining at Gemma once more, loved the rooms, service and cosy quiet atmosphere in the bar area. I hope they keep doing what they do to make it such a special place.
