We stayed in 1007. We couldn't get the temperature below 72 without leaving the window wide open all day. Then at night we had to close the window against the noise (still some) and the room got too hot. This room had the smallest sink imaginable and the shelves kept tipping. We've enjoyed the Roger before, this was not quite...

My husband and I had a one night staycation at The Roger. The lobby is very nice and I enjoy boutiquey hotels. The room, while nicely appointed, was very cramped and that was even more true of the bathroom. I hurt my elbow reaching for the tp while on the toilet because they are so close together and the vanity...

The hotel was super cute and clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a little loud in the mornings but that is to be expected in the City. I have recommended The Roger to friends and plan on staying here again the next time I am in the City.

We stay at The Roger whenever we visit New York. The staff is amazing. They are friendly, helpful courteous, outgoing, accommodating, just simply marvelous. Our room is always very comfortable and very clean. Special thanks to Camille for our wonderful room and the wonderful surprise of the bottle of Prosecco Champagne upon our arrival. Also, special thanks to Donna, our...

Loved the ambiance of this hotel. The lobby is hip and chic at the same time, right down to the black and white photography of the Rock greats. Hotel staff was super friendly. The rooms were quiet and clean. Just ask for a room away from the elevators. Only thing that was a disappointment was the cost of breakfast the...

Close and easy to get in and out of where you need to be. Walls are thin, so hope you don't get someone singing in the shower. After every fee under the sun was added to my bill, the rate I thought was great had increase by $60.

great location at the junction of Murray Hill, Flatiron District and Korea Town. Rooms (we were in a double/double) were well appointed; comfortable beds and linens, and of average size for NY. Walls are paper thin and after the first night, having been kept up by neighbors, we were moved for the next two nights to a corner room on...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This June, The Roger is unveiling a sophisticated new look after extensive renovations of its public spaces and guest rooms. Standing at the crossroads of uptown and downtown off Madison Park, the new Roger is a marriage of chic design and old world comfort, while continuing an unyielding commitment to superior service. The fresh aesthetic of the Roger’s public spaces is curated by hospitality guru Steven Kamali and designed by the notable Anna Busta. A collaboration of renowned talent has distinguished a transitional hotel that caters to the demands of the modern traveler and local tastemakers alike. The vaulted lobby lounge provides an ideal space for any time of day or occasion, from morning business meetings to lunch with family, or catching up over cocktails with friends. To update the spacious guest rooms, the Roger tapped Annette Jaffe of MSM, whose timeless original design has kept travelers returning year after year. Jaffe’s new rooms are characterized by lush custom pieces and applied moldings to naturally compliment the historic building’s unique rooms and inviting terraces. Whether for only a night or a weeks long stay, the Roger is the savvy traveler’s home away from home. ... more   less
