There is not a better place to stay in all of New York City. The rooms are very spacious and stocked with almost anything you could need, the location could not be better as far as access to transportation to take you anywhere in the city, the full kitchen provides so much in the way of convenience, and the staff are some of the best I’ve ever dealt with in the hospitality industry.
You will not find a bigger, more well stocked, or well provisioned room in the city…much less in the price range of what you will pay at this location. There is also the added convenience of having the Wall Street Station entrance quite literally across the street. And with a City Acres grocery store in the building, there’s absolutely nothing you would need outside of a one block radius.
The fact that the room has independent heating and air controls as greatly to the comfort factor. The Casper mattress also sets this hotel apart, as it is one of the most comfortable mattresses I have slept on away from home.

But I think the one aspect that sets this facility apart from every other is the amazing staff. From the front desk to the housekeeping service, everyone is focused on making your stay their priority. This is our fourth time to stay here, and we were here for eight days this visit, and there was not a single negative aspect to our stay.

I don't want to detract from the review of the property, but want to highlight, I spent 3 weeks searching and scouring New York for an apartment/condo etc that had a good size and floor space for 3, and was let down on several occasions by both Airbnb and Booking.com, who are basically intermediaries and offer little security around any bookings made.

I was therefore a little dubious to find this on Expedia, which for the apartment we had, was over three times the floor space available elsewhere, at a bargain price. But it was real and it is a remarkable property. I would highlight, that this is in a building that has limited branding on the front, so you do have to be aware of the street. It isn't hard to find, but better branding would help!

Aside from that, the experience from the beginning is just amazing, reception are extremely welcoming and informative, the access is security controlled by lift PIN access, as are the apartments. The unit we had has 2 bathrooms, both large size with bath/shower, a great kitchen area with huge fridge/freezer and large cooker, microwave and a fancy kettle, toaster was also available. It also has a coffee making kit, for real coffee, which I tried and found a little convoluted, but thats because I am lazy and just want my brew! Others will love it!

The living area is huge, has large TV, telephone (cordless) and a really fancy record player, which we dare not touch in case we broke it! There is also a decanter and crystal glass set if staying and hosting which I thought was really impressive!

The bedroom is really roomy has a huge amount of space and also has the usual safe, along with iron and board, then a hairdryer in the bathroom. The lighting throughout is mi8nimal but good! There are mirrors everywhere!

I just found this whole suite remarkable, the attention to detail, with being near to wall street was typical financial disttrrict style and I imagine a fair few finance brokers have occupied and influenced the property, but for someone like me, this was such an opulent experience which is quite apt for New York

Some will not be happy about the location, because you are away from Times Square and if you are not prepared to use the subway or hop on/off buses then you will pay a fortune in uber charges, but for us, we were happy to use subway/buses and just as exception use Uber.

I am already thinking of a second stay in NY, because one stay does not cover everything! When I do, it is likely going to be here!

Excellent choice, there were 4 of us (1 couple with our 2 teenagers) in a 1 bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor, it was very good. We were not bothered by street noise, the building was quiet and the cleaning service was impeccable. Coffee, tea and dishwasher tablets refilled every day, towels changed and beds made up every morning.
The Mint House is ideally located, we were able to do many things on foot (9/11 memorial, Statue of Liberty pier, Brooklyn Bridge, Wall Street). It’s also very accessible by metro from JFK.
For groceries there is a supermarket just downstairs. Be careful, it's overpriced, they are not very friendly to tourists and we had the impression of being cheated on each visit but these are New York prices...

In all the years that I've traveled to NYC this is, by far, the biggest place we've ever stayed at! I don't even know why I looked in the FiDi area. I think in the decades that I've visited the city, I've only gone to Wall Street as a tourist once! Yet somehow, during my most recent searches, I came across Mint House and decided to try it out based on the reviews. And boy, we were not disappointed!

Mint House is located in an art deco building right smack in the middle of the financial district. I figured it would be quiet, because what nightlife would be around that area, right? Well, it was quiet, but it was fantastic! But it wasn't quiet that nothing was happening. There were still plenty of places to go to within the area. Black Fox Café is conveniently located on the first floor of the building. And there were many food options in the same building as well. From a Michelin starred restaurant to deli. And if you fancy it, you can even head to the rooftop bar!

But the real star of the place is the actual rooms of the hotel. We had so much space in our studio that we didn't know what to do with it! We asked for a studio with two beds, and we absolutely loved that the beds were not next to each other. In fact, the other bed was located in a nook far away from the other bed, making it feel like it was a two bedroom space instead of a studio! We even had a full-size kitchen and a dining table for six that we didn't need. This was the first time in the many years we've traveled to the city that we had space to not only put our luggage, but also order in food, bring home food, keep it in the fridge and throw it in the microwave when we felt like it. Mint House is the unexpected favorite place we've ever stayed at, and we cannot wait to go back!

They have to figure out a way for disabled people arriving at night or leaving in am parking on Cedar Street to get from parking lot inside building without going around a full block with luggage, walker and must have a fire safety director alerting the guests when fire alarm goes off that it’s a false alarm. I’ve stayed in Top Hotels across the globe but love Mint House because the people are nice and space is big. We took the biggest room available as we have 3 disabled people one blind with severe allergies and can’t eat out or RC/ Peninsula. I’m surprised that you do not have one room for people that are allergic to animals. We usually stay in a suite at INK 48 as they have provided us with a kitchenette and microwave to help us with our son’s allergies. Two problems Fire Alarm went off and no one notified us whether false alarm and couldn’t get anyone on the phone for an hour. The front desk was apologetic and offered an extra hour late checkout which we didn’t end up needPanicked how am I going to get down flights of stairs with a walker. Where was the Fire safety director? After losing 2 parents one on United Flight 93 and other WTC plus 9 cousins, friends and neighbors and fell ill 10 years ago with mysterious significant medical issues because of 9/11. I’m very upset that no one from the staff went door to door to say it was a false alarm when no one answered the phone downstairs. No intercomm? My husband is also a retired Chief Engineer and former Fire safety Director at 3 major building in Midtown and MSG for 30 years and you failed your guests miserably but not knowing whether the fire was legit an hour later bc of a issue with the restaurant as terrorist victims to make things worse. I’ll be booking my stays through Amex Plat instead of your website after the bait and switch I encountered this time on your website and the prices increased as there was only a handful
Of hours to the check in the same day for two days. The GM was very nice when I called but was able to get the better rates on my husbands phone which is shady. We love The Mint House but this time I felt it was a money grab and there is no excuse regarding alerting the guests whether the fire alarm was a mistake or for real. It took me an hour to get the front desk and that’s unacceptable especially disabled. We are heavy tippers and extremely generous. I love that they run a criminal check and take a deposit for damage. Our refrigerator had damage so report

I really loved the ambiance and modern design this hotel has, plus the fact that it feels more like an apartment! I don't love the location, although there are many subway stations close by and it's close to 911 museum. statue of Liberty ferry. We did take advantage to go to those places while there. Another thing is that they didn't make it clear to me that they don't service the rooms unless yo let them know. I feel they don't service them like a regular hotel, they just changed the towels and make the beds, take the trash. But they didn't replenish us with extra toilet paper which was weird having to call and ask for or they didn't clean as much.

The sofa bed was very noisy, it was creaking any time you moved a little, that didn't have a fix (We had been in another hotel with sofa bed that was outstanding and could tell the difference!).

There is a market in the building although you do need to enter it from the street and there are many entrances to the building but they don't explain much when you get there.

I know these are little things overall our stay was great, just wanted to point that out for other people wanting to know details before making reservations. I would recommend The Mint House if you are into staying in Downtown! Great option for families with lots of space!

Hi darielacruz, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback! We're thrilled to hear that you loved the ambiance, modern design, and spacious apartment-style accommodations. It’s also great to know that you took advantage of the nearby attractions like the 9/11 Museum and Statue of Liberty ferry. We apologize for the confusion regarding our housekeeping service. Our team does provide full-service cleaning upon request, and we’ll make sure to communicate this more clearly to future guests. We also appreciate your feedback about the sofa bed and will look into ways to improve the comfort of that. Thanks again for your valuable insights, and we’re happy to hear that, overall, your stay was great. We look forward to welcoming you back in Downtown next time!

This place is amazing, the rooms are huge (we had a studio and it was massive) we absolutely loved the space and the location being across from the subway, a 15 minute walk to 9/11 and the same to battery park for the starter island ferry and Statue of Liberty tours.

The building is gorgeous and there’s so many things around it including multiple Walgreens for supplies (don’t us the shop in the hotel it’s triple the price of Walgreens)

The only improvements I could suggest is that each room should come with either a broom or a vacuum as the floors get dirty and housekeeping don’t do a full clean until night 7. The tea selection should also include English breakfast (we did ask at reception but in the end bought our own)

We struggled with the tv and trying to sign into our apps or use our firestick but maintenance brought us the proper Samsung remote and we were fine from there.

For me you have nearly every box ticked but I think you could add a few “delighters” if you wanted to keep ahead of the competition for example provide a load of bread and a carton of milk in the room on arrival with the cookies and water. We also stayed over Christmas and it would have been nice to receive something on Christmas Day. Nothing huge maybe just a card and a box of cookies outside the door.

All in all we loved the stay and we will 100% be back! Mint house will be the brand we look for in all city’s moving forwards.

We stayed in 2 apartment types here - for 2 weeks we were in a 1 bed 2 bath, then we stayed in the studio plus for a few days. Both rooms were very spacious and had plenty of storage space. Apartments were also fully furnished and equipped for us to feel at home. For example, we had enough kitchen equipment to cook our dinners and even store leftovers. Furnishing was thoughtfully thought through with enough space to store our suitcases and hangers to hang up our clothes. The laundry room was a big bonus for us given the long stay, and only cost $2.75 each for a wash/dry.

Apartment hotel, spacious, very well located quiet wall street, close to the subway and therefore beautiful facility to visit the city: 5 min walk to the memorial and century 21; 10 min to the Liberty Island & Ellis island ferry.
The smiling team was able to welcome us in good conditions, with little care to help us or inform us when we needed it. Possibility to leave the luggage on the last day before departure for the airport.
Apartment very well equipped, bottled water and welcome cakes, coffee & tea available, the beds are super comfortable, even the sofa bed.
Small downside, cleaning: bof bof .... the vacuum cleaner only went once a week, and each evening we had to ask for towels (not handed over to the "cleaning" women)
Ventilation heating is a little noisy, think of the balls that quies.
I recommend this address +++

It’s always hard to decide if an Airbnb or an hotel when you’re traveling with kids. Airbnb are goods but you have to do the cleaning so oh never rest. Hotels are good but usually need to rent 2 rooms so it become more expensive.
Mint house is an apartment, with kitchen and two spaces and they clean your room and offer room service as any other hotel.
Defenderle the best place to stay with kids in New York.
Location and everything was good too, with a metro literally in front of the hotel.

Hi Deborah. I did receive that same request and I complied. I am a regular guest there. The hotel has very good security and I expect they want to make sure guests are protected.
