The entire staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are well appointed. The breakfast buffet is perfect with the daily newspaper. The hotel is perfectly located in midtown. You can easily get to top stores, museums and even to the theater district.

I was looking for a unique hotel that had a nice romantic feel, plus affordable. I didn't want to stay at a big name hotel like a Hilton. So I googled top romantic hotels in NY and this one popped up.This hotel has french influence, happy hour + breakfast, and great location to easily get around town. 5 stars to...

Prime location, outstanding executive lounge facility. The staff, with its various interesting backgrounds and nationalities, is a well-trained, personable and accommodating bunch. Truly enjoyed meeting some of the "regulars" that frequently visit this unique property.

Loved everything about this place. Expensive until you consider inclusion of breakfast and the early evening aperitif in lovely 2nd floor salon with veggie dip, cheese and crackers etc to accompany wine, prosecco sipped with other guests in elegant dignified ambience. Front desk staff very pleasant and helpful. Even gave us a previous guest's subway card to save us a...

Wonderful staff, great spacious rooms, outstanding complimentary breakfast, and an overall NY sensational place to stay in NY. It is in the heart of mid-town, easy walk to the theaters, Central Park, 5th Avenue Shops, and a near by subway stop.

The Hotel Elysee was fantastic! We requested connecting rooms and had amazing 55 and 56 on 5th floor, with door that joined them together. We loved breakfast and wine & cheese evenings. Staff are spectacular!

We always enjoy the Hotel Elysee. It is located in the best area of the city for walking, shopping, going to Central Park. We also enjoy the breakfast and the afternoon wine & cheese. A delightful staff as well.

First stay in NYC and a perfect location. Room was clean and pretty. Staff was young and courteous. Great free breakfast and wine and cheese hour. Would stay again. Only issue was with hallway noise due to a few loud guests.

Perfect for holidays and business. The staff is wonderful and the rooms are comfy. We have stayed here on many occasions and it is our favorite hotel. The Monkey Bar is fabulous as well. This hotel is highly recommended.

This hotel is neither ultra-modern nor ultra-chic. It is simply charming ... and great in every aspect. Staying in the Grand King suite during our nine day visit to Manhattan and Brooklyn, we enjoyed a French-like hotel experience ... except for the size (our first Parisian room back in 1971 easily would have fit into our Elysée bathroom). Museums, theater...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
