So we arrived here really late due to flights and long long delays at JFK, actually checked in at about 3.30 am ( was booked in from day before) Meeted by unfriendly/unhelpful girl at reception. Said there had been some water damage so our room was not ready ~ they put us in the suite until the morning. Suite although...

Air conditioning wasn't working in our room, but we dealt with it. Bathroom could be updated as there were areas in bathroom where old repairs were not concealed due to paint not matching. But the Hotel was located in good location. Safety was not an issue. We parked our car in their garage, and basically used public transportation and walked...

I'm halfway into my stay and disappointed so far. - Strong smell of cigarette smoke in the hallways morning and night. I've reported this to the front desk, but they've not remedied the problem. The smell is so strong it is now in my room and giving me quite the headache. So much for non smoking. - Of the 3...

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Midtown for two nights last week while visiting NYC. The room was clean, efficient and surprisingly quiet. We had 1622 at the end of the hall. Overall, the location was great. It's only a couple of blocks from Carnegie Hall where we were attending a concert and a block and a half from the...

I’m glad I finally stayed at this location. I’ve stay at other IHG properties in Manhattan and found this one to be very good. Since I used to live in NYC, I knew I would be walking a lot and that 10-15 minutes to Times Square and four blocks to Central Park would be nothing. The property is dated but...

Got a good price on Priceline given what it costs to stay in NYC. Room was in good shape except bathroom - wallpaper had seen better days; commode a little ancient. Rugs in lobby and upstairs hallways very tired; door frames painted and repainted not very attractive. Place is a little tired

I just liked it. I think it was the expansive bar right off the lobby that did it for me. It added atmosphere. The hotel is close to Columbus Circle and the south entry to Central Park. It is a half block away from the subway (Line 1). I had no issues with the room and the service was good....

I stayed at the Holiday Inn on 57th St. because of it's affordable price on Hotwire.com. For 2 rooms (both double beds) on a Monday and Tuesday night, the total price came out to be $868.92 (includes taxes and fees). I thought that was a pretty good deal. Upon arriving, the front desk staff were reasonably friendly and we were...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
