This hotel is in a great location for touring around, and would also work great for business. The outside isn't much to look at, but as soon as you step inside, and certainly up in the room, it has a very "New York" feel. The elevator is very slow, but it's only 7 floors at most, so it's not unbearable....

Booked our rooms during 40% sale so rooms were very economical. We have stayed at their sister hotel, Hotel Chandler on 27th a few times and have always had a great experience. The Cosmopolitan was much smaller but rooms were clean and location was perfect for lower Manhattan.

We stay here often, every couple of months, as it is 2 blocks from family. It is very reasonably priced and in a great location: Chambers subway station direct to midtown and a 10 minute walk from the Freedom Tower, City Hall or the longitudinal park on the Hudson. The rooms are small and plain but the beds are all...

Nice, quaint place, when the remodel is done they will have a restaurant and bar. They even provided wonderful service by shipping me my phone charger that I left behind. I would stay again for business.

Small boutique hotel in Tribeca, really enjoyed the location, walkable to lots of tourist spots such as the 9/11 Memorial and Museum and the Brooklyn Bridge. Room was small, but we did not need a lot of space and had all the amenities you would need, so I didn't mind. Very nice bathroom, all subway tiles and very clean. I...

I would like to have given this hotel a higher review, but just couldn't. It was, well, awkward. The hotel changed its entrance and it is hard to find. You would think they would have a larger sign pointing to the new entrance, but we walked by it three times before we found it. Once inside, of boutique means a...

Very small lobby and rooms but my deluxe queen room had a huge bathroom which made my stay extra comfortable. Not a good place for large families. Elevators are slow and small but the hotel overall is very clean and charming. Subway stop right next to hotel, adjacent to a starbucks, restaurants, wine store, Zuckers bagels.

Clean, small and affordable. Staff overall, are very courteous, professional, kind and pleasant. Easy to get anywhere by foot or transit. Subway station is just outside the door; PATH station is three blocks away. I covered a fair chunk of Manhattan; also got to DUMBO and Newark, NJ in no time at all. The walls are paper-thin, so be prepared...

The location of this hotel is excellent if you want to visit the World Trade Center Memorial, Brooklyn Bridge, Tribeca, etc. It is also very conveniently located immediately next to a major subway stop which made getting all the way up to Madison Square Garden for a show a breeze. The hotel is in renovation right now so it does...

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighbourhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighbourhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighbourhood home.
