Good location, beside subway and a short walk from World Trade Center train station. Easy walking distance to many tourist sites. Conveniently located near good restaurants. A full grocery market with fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as freshly baked goods, is across the street.

I stayed at the Cosmopolitan Hotel - Tribeca for just one night when I had an interview in NYC. I had never been to the city before so I had no idea where to book, and I'm a student, so I have limited funds, so I was on the lookout for something that was a good value. This hotel was...

The hotel was located in a very good area. Tons of Manhattan sights are in walking distance. The staff was very attentive and professional. The business center was easy to use and accessible. I would stay here again in the future.

I stayed here for a week and I loved it. The staff were so friendly and helpful they could not help you enough. The location of the hotel is fantastic close to the subway at chambers street. Rooms are clean but a tad small . Overall a great little gem.

would not stay at hotel again; cell service was non-existent (AT&T), rooms incredibly small for the price paid and no restaurant. I would not recommend this hotel and will not stay there again. Location was good. I would also do something about the step going out the door to Broadway as if you are unaware you could fall or take...

I was put in one of the recently renovated rooms here and it was lovely. It reminded me of hotels in which we stayed in Europe. The rooms were a bit smaller than a large American chain hotel, but were beautifully finished, stylish and very clean. The hotel staff was always in the lobby and incredibly helpful, friendly and genuine....

This clean, well maintained hotel with friendly staff has the very small rooms that one expects in NYC, and that are reflected in the price. A good king size bed, plenty of outlets and USB ports, new (or new looking) furniture make this a good value. (I got an upgrade to a king, so not sure how small the rooms...

DO NOT STAY HERE. We visited on a work trip from London to the states and were welcomed into a box sized room. No storage for our two big suitcases or clothes, so we spent two days tripping over them/banging our shins on the beds. The room was incredibly hot, which would have been okay if leaving the window didn't...

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighbourhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighbourhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighbourhood home.
