Originally I had planned to stay in budget accomodations in NYC, and move here towards the end of my stay to relax in my own room. However the place I did stay in at first was so bad I had to leave. I spent a...More
If you are looking for a clean, low price hotel in NY city, look no further. They did a great job renovating this hotel. The concept works: put more rooms in the same amount of space, and charge less per room. They probably make a...More
I stayed during July 2008. When I researched hotels during this time (peak season) I was lucky to get a room with no bathroom, and all the hotels for the same amount of money (269 a nite) had reviews that included bugs in the hotel...More
This hotel had nice, efficient, clean rooms and a great location. However, on the very hot nights I stayed, the AC broke. I notified the front desk, but they were indifferent to the situation for two nights. Later, I wrote and notified them again that...More

This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the
affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

The shared bathrooms are not shared with every room on the floor, because the majority of our rooms have en suite baths. There are 2 to 4 shared baths per floor, with only a few guests sharing each. Our housekeeping staff diligently keeps the bathrooms clean between uses, as you will see mentioned in the majority of reviews that comment on shared baths. They are always locked, they require a room key to open, and there is an additional bolt in each while occupied.
