It was my first time in New York City and I stayed at The Pod for 3 nights with 3 of my girlfriends. It's safe to say that it was one of the most pleasant experiences of my life! I've had so much fun! Being...More
My sister and I stayed at the Pod from April 28 to May 5th. It was perfect. Check in went very smoothly, we got there before check in and they let us check in early. The staff was always friendly. We shared a bunk room....More
Let me start this review off by saying what this hotel is NOT. It is not for the person looking for a luxery. It is not for the person that is looking for the cheap motel, either.

Spent two nights on a business related trip. I found the hotel staff efficient and knowledgeable. Room was small but clean and had the basic needs met, it had a sink in the room. There were several bathrooms located in the hallway. Never had a...More

This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the
affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

The shared bathrooms are not shared with every room on the floor, because the majority of our rooms have en suite baths. There are 2 to 4 shared baths per floor, with only a few guests sharing each. Our housekeeping staff diligently keeps the bathrooms clean between uses, as you will see mentioned in the majority of reviews that comment on shared baths. They are always locked, they require a room key to open, and there is an additional bolt in each while occupied.
