Neighbourhood
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.

I guess I was awed by the history, but was disappointed in the stay. It took forever for the room to be ready and the staff was not pleasant at the front desk. We had to listen to a barking dog in a room nearby the whole stay. He was throwing himself against the door. Staff

Dear teenahughes, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short in some respects. With that being said, we are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your interactions with our elevator men and the products! We hope to welcome you back for a better experience in the near fututre. Wishing you all the best! Sincerely, The Carlyle Family

The Carlyle is a special place to stay, to eat, to see a show in the Café Carlyle or just have a drink in Bemelmens. We have gone to the show in the Café Carlyle right before Christmas for the last 20+ years, starting with Bobby Short and continuing with Steve Tyrell. It is an
