Room served its purpose but had several pesky problems such as a very slow-draining bathroom sink, A/C that did not/could not cool the room to the set temperature, no tissues and no plastic bag for the ice bucket. All staff members were friendly and helpful, but I will try a different hotel next time.

Hotel's Favourite
This hotel is very close to the 50th Street Subway Station and walkable from Broadway/Times Square. Excellent breakfast and friendly staff. The only drawback that I had to be contend with during my stay was no fridge inside the room. But for that one factor it was a wise decision that I made to stay put in this hotel during my summer trip to NYC. Hilton also helped me to do a checkin and select a room in advance via their app. This was very helpful indeed.

This was a sub par Hampton Inn in a terrific location. Decor was old, the elevator wasn't working, the windows were filthy, the interior door lock was inoperable, hot water issues, etc. The breakfast was perfect for our needs.

Centrally located for Broadway shows. Subway stop one block away. Breakfast served. Security 24 hours a day. Quiet rooms on the back. Great place for the price. Clean. Reliable. Walkable to Central Park. Two subway stops from the Met Opera House. Easy access to downtown Manhattan from subway.

This place is a bit rough around the edges (wear and tear) -but who cares? The location is perfect. You can easily walk to Central Park or Times Square, Carnegie Hall or a Broadway show. Most importantly it was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. It is one block to the subway at 50th street. We took the Q70 free shuttle from La Guardia to the subway and caught the E train to 50th street where it was a short walk to this hotel.

We walked from the train station to the hotel. It was a long walk, but not too long. We stopped and got pizza Along the way. The location of the hotel was great for walking to theaters and to Central Park. Check-in was easy and staff were pleasant. They made sure we got adjoining rooms we requested. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The wall were thin but I found keeping the fan running on the AC helped drown out noises. The included breakfast was average. I would have liked a few healthier options. But there was cereal, hot eggs, breakfast meat, oatmeal, mane your own waffles and apples. The breakfast staff did a great job keeping everything stocked. They have coffee, tea and hot chocolate available all day long. There is a Dunkin right across the street if you prefer. Overall happy with our stay and we would return.

Location is great - 10 minutes to Time Square and bed is comfortable as well. It’s however a very outdated place. There wasn’t even soup in the room - had to ask. People are nice and helpful - they do what they can, but again hotel needs some modernization. Aircon is so loud, picture they display on booking with New York view is there if you are lucky with a room you get. Make sure you arrange for breakfast something else - it’s very basic.

The location is convenient to bus, metro and attractions. My grandson had the best pizza he’s ever eaten at Amadeus across the street. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The facility was very clean. I would stay here again.

We stayed on the 10th floor and used a park and stay package for one night. We were in the city to see a show and it served the purpose for that. The hotel needs freshening up for sure but we didn’t feel it was dirty. Loved the bed mattress if anyone from Hampton Inn is monitoring reviews, would love to know what mattress it was. 10th floor near the back kept our room pretty quiet, yet you cannot beat the location for access to Times Square and theaters. Also felt safe with security in the lobby in the evening. The included breakfast was adequate since we still felt full from the previous evening. Can walk to a great diner, Cosmic Diner, and our NYC bagel place in less than 2 blocks, Pick-a-Bagel. The ultimate NY breakfast and still a great deal. We’ve used the parking garage many times because it is SO easy to get to and from the West Side Highway if you’re driving in. Would gladly return to this Hampton Inn but would welcome a renovation. Staff was great.

We stayed here for 5 nights as a family of 3. We booked this hotel based on the fact beakfast was included and there were 2 double beds as we didn’t want our 14 year son to sleep on a camp bed or sofa bed Location was perfect for Times Square but far enough away not to be in the thick of it. Just a 5 minute walk away. Check in was quick and easy and arriving at 11 pm this was welcome. We didn’t expect too much of the room after reading previous reviews and it was I guess as we expected. The room was comfortable in size and beds comfortable too. They just are very tired looking and fairly old fashioned but as long as they were clean and the shower was hot we didn’t really mind as we literally just slept there after long days walking round New York. Had to ask for toiletries as there wasn’t even any soap in the bathroom. Towels changed daily and beds made daily. Breakfast wasn’t great but good enough if you just wanted to grab a piece of toast or cereal. There was also omelettes but these were premade and processes looking , butter and jam and yoghurts. If you had any dietary needs it was useless. being dairy free all I could eat was a muffin cake. No alternatives for butter or milk. We found eating out very expensive. chipotle opposite did a great Mexican bowl though and when we were too tired to eat out we had that in the room. On our last day we found Dunkin’ doughnuts opposite also did avacado on toast which was cheap and cheerful. Doesn’t day breakfast was at Stardust diner. We found this a complete rip off !! Food was overpriced and not that nice at all. Such a waste of money. Our best meal out was at Hummus Kitchen on 9th Avenue jist a 10 min walk away. Great especially if you’re vegan! We used a taxi from jfk Airport but on the way back used the subway. There is a station right opposite hotel. Get on line E and go all the way to Jamaica something then changed to air train. Really easy! And cheap! Hop on buses were great but very busy and in 33 degree heat we got roasted alive ! If you want a very basic hotel with no luxury to use as a base for yr visit then this hotel is in a great location.
