We stayed one night in anticipation of an appointment at Memorial Sloan-Kettering. The hotel was very close to the MSK facilities, and it was certainly a large suite (by NYC standards). The desk staff were so nice and professional. Still, would never stay here again. There was black mold by the AC (see pic) and the shower drain control was literally falling apart and non-functional (in a closed position, so the tub flooded with every shower). For more than $400/night, this was totally unacceptable. This hotel desperately needs a renovation.
My husband had to have surgery at MSK. You gave us a discount and you were very close to the hospital. The hotel was spotless! The beds were super comfortable. The room was spacious and the kitchen extremely clean and Efficient. The hotel staff were warm and inviting! A feeling of safety at all times while in the room. I recommend anyone dealing with a loved one that is in the hospital this hotel is great!
I Thank Nigel at the front desk to give me a quiet, sunny ,good view room #811. He has been friendly and quick to response for any requests I had. Also bellman Skyer is great help from the day one. They made my stay very comfortable, and I will return to this hotel next time I am in NYC. I wanted to avoid crowded and loud Times Square area. Hotel Room is large, plenty closet spaces, and a kitchen. Nice and quiet residential upper east side area. A great burger joint Jackson-hall is across the street (as well as many other eateries) Morton Williams around the corner. Quick access to many subway lines and Cross town buss, the location of the hotel is unbeatable for me. Minor set back was room cleaning, water glass was never replace or cleaned entire 6 nites stay. Also hair dryer was never put it away. But it was not issue at all. Just that everything else was excellent. My suggestion to the hotel is to give guests choices of how often they want having room cleaning - for an environmental prospects. Some of guests may choose clean towels and sheets every 2-3 days or room cleaning for a good cause.…
The room was super spacious and clean ! Would definitely stay here again. It had such a cute little living room and kitchen with fridge stove and dishwasher which came with all the stuff to cook with . And two beds . Super comfortable
Spacious clean suites with full kitchen , small bathroom with grab bar and tub, two comfortable queen beds, two TVs, wardrobe, drawers, dining table and LR set. Did not appreciate street noise nor dumpster view from Room 409 or unresponsive temperature control in Bedroom. Sticker shock @ $500+/night. Blindsided by facility fee payable to hotel for phone, WiFi and Gym since we used none of these.
Overall a good stay. Staff was excellent. Rooms clean but are getting dated especilly for the price point, same with exercise room. Sofa bed terrible even for a kid. Great location. Would stay again ..
Loved our huge room with lots of light and every employee was pleasant and helpful! Housekeeping staff were flexible and did a wonderful job on our room each day. Would definitely stay there on another visit to NYC!
It is a wonderful hotel. The view from the back of the hotel reveals an oasis. The ground floor rooms open out to private patios, I would definitely request on my next visit. The view from the back is a peaceful one. Between the row of trees along the back of the adjacent property is a pool of water and a green lawn. It is quite relaxing which was comforting for me while I visited my husband at nearby Sloan Cancer Center. In addition, the staff was very accommodating. I would definitely stay there any time I visit NYC.
Great location. Staff was extremely accommodating. The rooms were fine, not exceptional but clean. Average amount of space. The one real plus was if you needed a bathroom when yours was occupied there was one available to use, in my eyes that's an added advantage.
My husband had surgery at HSS in NYC and we were fortunate to find Garden Suites! The whole staff was so accommodating and truly caring during our stay! It clearly already has a reputation, as we noticed and talked with many that had medical situations that chose this hotel. Kris in particular was seen on bended knee zipping up a suitcase before loading it, assuring a guest about their anxious day, engaging my husband over his upcoming surgery or just sharing a laugh with guests walking by. Even my dog was charmed by all the attention! Each level of staff was so helpful and supportive! Attentive front desk, and amazing cleaning staff were so sensitive and genuinely cared about making us comfortable! Our room was comfortable and fit our needs during our 8 day stay very well! A full kitchen was a great help! We look forward to meeting our new friends at The Garden Suites again soon as my husband will need another surgery.…
