The hotel saving just good location and that the hotel in New York! The price per night is too expensive compare to the conditions of the hotel. The hotel is uncomfortable with Marriott hotels in SEA region where status of Marriott equal to high luxury segment.

I travel to NY frequently for work. This time was for pleasure with the wife and kids and needed more room than usual (NY hotel rooms are smaller than average). The Marriott East Side was great. Ideal location for a December family trip (near Rockafeller Center for the Rockettes, tree, skating). The room was clean, the service was very good...

The room was quite small ... the hotel infrastructure in general seemed quite old ... maybe liked by some as vintage ... but not to my liking ... the in house restaurant / food options were not that great ... check in and check out was quite fast though and location wise quite ideal if you want to visit the...

Stayed here 2 nights to burn up some Marriott points before moving to the Waldrof Astoria which is literally across the road. The rooms are great. Don't like the bar much because it feels too much like you are sitting in the lobby. I have stayed here twice but never had a single meal here. You are spoilt for choice...

The Hotel and Rooms feel a little bit tired but the beds are very nice and apart from a reading light and a drawer everything seemed to work properly. Our room was on 49th street and that can be a noisy, but nothing compared to the aircon which makes a lot of noise! It works, but I could not imagine...

We were in part of the hotel that wasn't redone and you could tell it was due for updates, but the room was large by NYC standards and adequate. The bed was very soft. It was nice that the club lounge had water, tea, and other beverages and light snacks available, and the gym on the top floor was just...

Full disclosure: I have never been a big fan of Marriott’s beige-bland big box business hotel emphasis. Stripped of character, it can feel like sleeping inside a cardboard box. This is an older renovated hotel, and Marriott, thankfully, has been unable to strip it of all character. Really good location, and the rooms are comfortable, in a three and a...

I stayed here with my adult daughter for a fun weekend. It was in a good location for our activities. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The room was very comfortable, spotless, comfortable bed, great shower, small refrigerator, coffee maker in the room. Sondra stayed here two nights while visiting her grandson graduating from NYU. My room was just the right size for one person. I had a VERY COMFORTABLE king size bed with premium white sheets and down comforter....which was needed during the cold two days I stayed. The location is great for visiting NYU and a Broadway show. There are several...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
