Stayed for three nights before cruise after traveling down from Niagara. Hotel lighting very dim, tiny room. Wardrobe so small you can't hang anything. Staff very helpful & polite. Very central location.

The standard rooms are small just like the past reviews say but if you're going to NYC to explore and just need a basic place to sleep, it's not that bad. The hotel is located in prime Times Square so if you're sensitive to noise - don't pick this hotel, or any other one in TS for that matter. Long...

We stayed here in February on a Sunday-Tuesday. I will start with a positive-the location is great and 1/2 block from Times Square, a street away form Restaurant Row and Hells Kitchen neighborhoods. Also, they gave us an extra hour on check-out day because I had a very bad migraine that made me ill and just needed to sleep it...

The Paramount is right on the edge of Times Square, and in easy walking (and bag-towing) distance of three subway stations. It is reasonably priced, and the staff are friendly. Be prepared, though, for small rooms, lower levels of cleanliness than one might expect, thin towels in the bathroom, and stygian gloom levels of lighting in the public spaces. If...

I honestly do not understand what people have to compain about! We have just returned from a three day trip to NYC staying here and thought it was an excellent hotel! Yes, the foyer is dark but after the crazy lights and sounds of Times Square its lovely to walk into such a calm environment. The check in was smooth,...

The hotel lobby is amazing, a great space (although very dark). The staff was nice overall, no complaints at all. The price, for the location seemed average for NYC Times Square. The room size though...oh the room size...I had read online that the rooms were small so to prepare for that but small does not describe it. I booked a...

We visited NY for 1 week 11/18 Feb 17 as part of a family double birthday celebration. we picked the Paramount due to its reasonable price and its location and we wasn't disappointed. 1 minutes walk and you were in Times Square. Yes, I agree in a perfect world the rooms could have been a bit bigger and it would...

We booked this hotel because of its location and it seemed as a good value. On first impression, the hotel was overcrowded- you would expect that in a hotel Times Square in New York. But what we did not expect was the unfortunate condition in which we found our room. Paint was chipping off the doors and walls, tiles were...

We recently stayed at the Paramount Hotel in NYC - The Hotel has the best location being 2 minutes walk from Times Square. The reception is very boutique Hotel which is great but needs just a little bit more lighting. The reception staff were pleasant and helpful and just what was needed for this trip. The Hotel room was very...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
