I stayed for two nights in mid July with a group of ladies celebrating a friend's birthday. Although this hotel is in the heart of Times Square, it is quiet and the decor is incredibly restful and soothing. The bed was very comfortable and I love the Aveda products that are offered for toiletries. The staff was attentive and helpful....

The hotel is in an excellent location on Times Square, right in the middle of the mix. Easy check in and out. We had a room on 16th floor which gave us enough height to see below yet not be too disturbed by street noise. Beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Bar/lounge served good sized portions of food...

The Renaissance is perfectly located for those who want the Times Square experience. Step out the lobby door into Times Square and feel the New York vibe. Our room was above Broadway but we found it quiet (except with street work occurring the first week, just bad timing). The room was a good size having a small lounge, work area...

It's been a couple of weeks since our visit and I still get a smile on my face! Omar Bennett at the Renaissance New York Times Square Hotel was the best person to get tips for visiting the area. He even reassured us that we would be able to handle the New York Subway...and he was right! Thanks Omar! We...

Stayed here on an overnight trip to "the city." This hotel is right in the middle of Times Square. The high point of the visit was a great welcome and quick handling of our vehicle. The room was well appointed and clean.

This hotel was really nice, but I probably wouldn't stay again unless I had some compelling reason to be in Times Square. The main downside was the location, right in the hustle and bustle tourist trap of Times Square. You have to walk quite a ways if you want decent and reasonably priced food, and even then, it'll probably be...

My flight arrived early at 5:30 am., and though we requested early check in...there is never a guarantee. Arriving and checking in with Jennifer, she was able to find us a room on the 15 th floor overlooking Broadway. The room had 2 double beds..clean...great view of the street below. We have been her numerous times to celebrate our anniversary...

Rlounge (2nd or 3rd fl of the Times Square Renaissance Hotel) is a great place to stop by for a quiet cocktail with magnificent view of Times Square. Memorable. Good value. Friendly staff. Cool decor.

Lovely rooms, lobby, lounges, etc. Service was great with the exception of one person who worked in the VIP lounge. I wish I would have written down his name-he definitely didn't belong. Highly recommend staying here IF you must stay in Times Square.

I recently stayed at this hotel for a work trip based on recommendations from this website. Let me say that while the lobby area has had some very nice boutique hotel upgrades the room and service felt lipstick on a pig and I would not stay here again! I am severely allergic to feathers and requested a feather free room....

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
