We spent 2 nights midweek at the Stewart Hotel for a last minute family getaway. Stewart Hotel is in mid town, convenient to major NYC attractions Times Square, Empire State Building, Central Park, etc. Jenny at the front desk made us feel like regulars and offered a complimentary upgrade to a spacious suite on the top floor with incredible views!!!...

I have stayed 10 days in The Stewart Hotel in a family room. Having read the comments about the noise i was a bit concerned at the start. The hotel is near Penn station which is always bustling day and night with traffic and noise, if you add to that the firefighter station nearby the effects are very difficult for...

I can't say enough good things about the Stewart Hotel. Over a period of eight nights, due to various family members coming and going, we managed to stay in almost every type of room they offer, from the one room King to the two bedroom, two bath suite. We enjoyed every room offered. In addition, the hotel staff was exceptional!...

I attended a 3 days event at the hotel. The manager, Alex Barett, and his wait staff (Katherine, Isabel, Valeria, and Steven) were very professional, attentive, and courteous. The breakfast and lunch were very, very tasty. Special request for tea or fruits were taken care of immediately. Thank you very much to the staff for proving a wonderful experience!

An older refurbished hotel. It's age is showing but they have a nice job of refurb with a bit of a retro/modern theme. Quite comfortable, but not luxurious. I had a 2 room 'suite' with a small kitchen and large living room plus bedroom on the 21st floor. Nice & quiet. A nice little bar in the lower lobby was...

So the building itself is a bit old, you can hear the plumbing/pipes plus the sirens on the street, etc... but it's NYC. It should be expected. What I didn't expect was some really amazing customer service from the likes of the service desk (Anthony & Omari), housekeeping (thanks for the hypo-allergenic pillow in the middle of the night!), and...

The hotel position is excellent. Close to Penn Station and Time Square. Especially good for our family as it was our first time to NY. Were very happy with the room. It was neat, tidy and large enough for our family of four. I need to acknowledge "Zoe" and "Lilleth" (hope I spelt your names correctly). These were the two...

Was so disappointed on arrival our first night. Our room was huge, functional rather than attractive, and the bathroom was the smallest I'd ever seen in a hotel (so don't go for room 1023!). The shower space measured about 2' x 1'6", so if you dropped the soap you'd have to get out of the shower to pick it up!...

I can't begin to explain how bad this place is. The staff is really nice but my GOD this place is gross. I was looking for a good deal for a quick trip into the city and if anything will teach me you get what you pay for, this will. The first room I had was small, tiny window, but...

Staying in Chelsea

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighbourhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
