This hotel was obviously old and needed an update. The elevators were terribly slow, and the rooms were extremely tiny. We had a room right next to the elevator, and the elevator noise was awful. The street noise was also annoying and very loud. The windows were obviously not noise cancelling, because we could hear sirens and honking horns all...

We stayed here for a three-day weekend. Some things went wrong (trouble with the room key-card, the shower hot water faucet fell off) but everything else worked out well, so I put those down to bad luck. The bed was comfortable - we both slept very soundly. There are not a lot of electrical outlets, but we found enough to...

The Belvedere is an old hotel built in the 1920's so don't expect a fancy modern hotel. Elevator is tiny and a little creepy. Rooms are small, as to be expected expected in NYC and the bathroom was teeny tiny with only a pedestal sink. Small room in fridge was nice to store some beverages. We didn't plan to spend...

The location here is fab for walking almost anywhere in NYC, we only used a taxi to and from the airport during our trip. The concierge signed for a package that was delivered for me and kept it safe. Our room was huge, we had a superior executive on the 7th floor with use of a tablet with internet which...

I always stay at the Belvedere. Great location near Times Square and subway stations. Walkable to museums and Central Park. Quiet street. Staff is incredibly helpful, especially Ricky at the front desk. Rooms are average size (maybe a bit bigger) for Manhattan with a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Bodega on the corner has fresh fruit, breakfast items, and deli....

We arrived early due to our flight schedule. They had a room available that we could check into for an Early Check In for $75.00. We said no thanks, checked our bags and headed out and returned closer to the "official" check in time. We were not offered an early checkout fee if we left early. Late checkout is also...

I stayed with friends for 4 nights on a girls trip to NYC. We were upgraded to an executive room, which was wonderful! It was clean and roomy. This hotel has a great location and friendly, helpful staff. We enjoyed the stay and will be back.

The hotel was modern and clean. Staff was was friendly. Room was spacious and comfortable... Two minor issues - it was too hot in the room, and there were no temperature controls; and there were inadequate shades - it was too bright throughout the night. Even the maintenance rep did not know how to regulate the heat.

Good location. Friendly staff. Good value. Many restaurants near by. Concierge desk available for show tickets and other trips. Nice breakfast buffet, not free. Our room still cools with a window air conditioner. Wifi not free. All in all, not bad, we enjoyed the stay.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
