The Mansfield is a beautiful boutique hotel in an excellent location for shopping on fifth avenue, visiting the famous New York Public library and then grabbing a sandwich in Bryant Park . Or venturing a few blocks to St. Patricks Cathedral or walking to Times Square! It is charming with marble stairs and a sweet library to relax in and...

We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights to see the city. It is in an excellent location, close to everything. Staff was very friendly. M Bar was great for drinks and food. The expresso machine available for free in the library was a super nice touch. Our room size was perfect, we were upgraded to a room with 2...

Spent a long weekend with my teenage daughter. The rooms are decorated beautifully, the staff is pleasant and very helpful, and the location is great for going to many theatres, Central Park, and Times Square. The restaurant has a nice vibe also. I would definitely stay again. As a side note, the bathrooms are small, so may not be comfortable...

Location was great, a few blocks from Grand Central and Times Square! The staff were exceptional at the Mansfield. Friendly, a wealth of knowledge and willing to help you anyway they could (even after you checked out). The room was small, but I was in Manhattan to see the city, not my room. The lighting in my room wasn't great,...

We were checking out and were told that we had a minibar charge of $13 for candy- I think reese peeses. My wife and I never even opened the minibar throughout the entire time and vociferously argued against it which the night manager removed. However this spoiled the whole experience and we will NEVER return. Additionally the day before I...

We were thankfully provided a crib not a Pack-n-play, which my back appreciated not having to bend all the way down into. Our Jr. Suite was perfect for the 3 of us, lots of room to have the crib in the 'living room' and a couch to relax on. GREAT location for our first time in NYC, doing all the...

This hotel has a lot of character. It's a great value given the prime location. The staff is fantastic; very welcoming, friendly, and perceptive. Just as important, this hotel is very clean and comfortable. I'm not sure whether it'd be considered small, but for what's the norm in NYC, it was very appropriate and we did not feel cramped. I'd...

My room - 1004 - was the most depressing hotel room I have ever stayed in. Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
