We just spent 5 days at the Waldorf while attending the Westminster Dog Show. Every single staff encounter was exemplary from the wonderful doormen to the front desk, room service (promised in 25 minutes, but delivered in 10 minutes with an orchid on our trays), to our housekeepers and the amazing waiter we had at La Chine. They all went...

Rooms are super small. Its a great piece of history but it needs major work. Paint peeling in the room, door looked terrible, no view at all. Its resting on its laurels and there are better places to stay. The location is good.

Dear efletch94, Your review was a difficult one to read as we take great pride in the Waldorf and maintain an intent to live up to the experience virtually all expect as they ascend the Park Avenue steps for the first time. I am very sorry we did not deliver. I would like to share that we are currently planning...

The hotel has stunning sites to offer in the lobby and restaurants that can amuse even the most uninterested of people. The hotel is rich in history and culture that makes it a lovely place to stay HOWEVER the rooms are just okay. The bathrooms require an update, yet it does not detract from the joy of your stay. The...

This hotel really earned its reputation. From the moment we got there, everyone was genuinely happy to see us. I traveled with my young son who'd never been to NYC, and who now (based on how they treated him) thinks he is a prince. I mean, they really welcomed us. Where many hotels act like they're glad you are there,...

This great hotel is in need of the planned refurbishment. If you get a deal then consider it but you won't be impressed just 'ok'. There are a lot of hotels to choose from (and come with complimentary tea making in room, WA does not) which you should look at first I'm afraid. Great location though.

We visited for 5 days in December. The hotel is lovely. The decor is very classy. The rooms are quite outdated and need some work doing but it is what I expected for how old the hotel is. There is a nice old feeling about the Hotel and it definitely has lots of history. The food was outstanding and it...

We were fortunate to experience the Waldorf one last time before she closed. It was a thrilling experience and the entire staff treated us as if they would be there forever. Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
