This is the right hotel for you if you like your accommodations on the more generic, bland side. That said, the room I stayed in was very clean and comfortable, with a great bed, and updated bathroom. The only complaint I had was a slight cigarette oder. The hotel is located very close to the action on 42nd street, but...

I spent two long days searching for a nice, affordable hotel for my first visit to NYC. I called the hotel directly but they do not have 24 hour reservation service. The price with taxes came to $307.00 a night; not bad for NYC...awful if you are not used to those rates. Arrived there at check in time, no problems...

I will start that I had a certain amount of money I wanted to spend and still be in Manhatten in a decent hotel. I was a little apprehensive after reading some of the reviews but as soon as I saw the room I was relieved. At $300.00 a night plus tax at this time of year it was a...

Stayed at this hotel for the Barbra Streisand concert. We had already spent a lot of money on the tickets, and needed an affordable clean hotel. This definitely fit the bill. We had a room facing the back, off the pool. No street noise etc. I have stayed at three different hotels in NYC, and this was just as good...

Let me say first, that I was sooooo afraid to stay here, even with all the good reviews, because I know NYC pretty well, and I was very afraid of the location and not very impressed with the pics. However, the price was right for what seemed to be a very expensive week to get a room in the city....

We stayed at the Travel Inn as we were in New York for the marathon. Its location is excellent, handy for Times Square, bus station etc. There are loads of good restaurants and diners within a short walk of the Hotel. The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable, with loads of hot water! The staff were extremely helpful and the...

Location was excellent within walking distance to downtown. Walked from Madison Square Gardens past Macey. Another day to theatre, Times Square. Our room overlooked the cop shop across the street which was OK not noisy. Day staff friendlier than night staff. Didn't enjoy the Theatre Show Diner food not good. Better at the Deli beside the hotel. We were from...

We arrived at the hotel at 1:45 to an empty lobby and desk clerk on a personal phone call and we were told "check in is at 2 you can sit and wait". The lobby and rooms were actually very nice, the location was good and we never felt unsafe. There is a diner just outside the hotel that is...

After a crazy number of hours trying to find a hotel in New York on the net we selected this one because of it's price and reasonable trip advisor rating. We found the best price by booking directly with the hotel. The hotel itself is perfectly acceptable but in any other city it would be about half the price but...

We only stopped here 1 night in a two double bed room which cost £120.00. I thought it was a great price as for in comparison to other hotels. Has great location and free parking, we parked @ 10am and checked in later that day. We asked if we could leave our car later that day and they kindly let...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
