I stayed at the Lucerne at the end of June and beginning of July, so I could attend a conference at Teachers College at Columbia University. This is my second time to stay at the hotel, and the experience, once again, was outstanding. Our room was on the ninth floor and had a view of the river. It was quiet...

I love when I hear about people coming back to visit us again and again. We were so happy to have so many people attending The Teachers College at Columbia University and that they made The Lucerne their destination of choice. We hope that the next time you visit us, it will be for pure relaxation and fun.

We just returned from a three day stay in NYC. I had found the Lucerne online, looking for family friendly hotels on the UWS. This is exactly that. First and foremost, the staff was unfailingly gracious, particularly Pierre, the doorman, who patiently helped us carry our double stroller up and down the steps multiple times each day. We had requested...

The staff was helpful, pleasant and positive. Switched our room to a bigger and better one, promptly and effortlessly. Wine and cheese each late afternoon! Great location with restaurants and stores right outside the door. We like Sugar and Plum for breakfast or dessert! You can walk to Central Park and the Met! Subway is at the end of the...

We stayed here for three nights. The staff is friendly, the rooms clean, the location is very convenient. We also had a 7 day metro pass and travelled everywhere by subway or foot. 1 block from one line and two blocks from another. The Natural History Museum a block away. Broadway, Amsterdam and Columbus loaded with restaurants and delis. Zabar's...

The Lucerne is a lovely hotel with cordial, helpful, knowledgeable staff. The service was perfect - helpful without being in the way. I was there in late June, this year, for work. It's a great location, convenient to Columbia and the subway to downtown, an easy walk to Riverside park, and has many good restaurants nearby. It's also near the...

We've just returned from the lucerne hotel and had a really lovely time. We booked a suite with 2 queen size beds. We stayed a number of days over two weeks. The first suite we had was on the small size to the one in the advertised picture and was on the back of the hotel. It was very quiet...

This is a lovely clean and friendly place to stay. It has a lovely traditional feel to it and is really close to the subway so you can access the centre in about ten minutes. The area is full of bars and restaurants and not the horrible fast food big chains either. The staff were all really helpful and friendly...
