Colleagues from my firm had recommended this hotel to me and I was not disappointed. Wonderful location for my needs (access to mid-town Manhattan and Times Square), this hotel was clean, comfortable and provided superior service for the price. I felt safe and welcome there and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting NYC for business or...

My son had an audition with Manhattan School of Music and this hotel was recommended. They were kind enough to store our luggage after checkout so that he could audition, hVe dinner, then come and get the luggage and head home. Quiet, clean, quite nice for the price - the staff is sweet and friendly.

Used to stay in Upper West Side while visiting our daughter at Columbia, and had come upon the Lucerne at that time. Checked it out online for our visit to see our niece's off-Broadway production. Not only was the hotel very convenient to many of our favorite haunts, it was delightful to stay at in all regards. It has a...

First visit to New York and this hotel made it a memorable one...from the friendly and helpful staff to the fact you could have take away delivered to your room, I liked every bit of it. The speed at which they dealt with repairs or minor twinges was also very good. The location was such a blessing..Two subway stations within...

I stayed here based on the recommendation of a friend and I was not disappointed. Beautifully presented hotel, with all the amenities you would need, immaculately clean, and friendly, helpful staff. Our room had two double beds and was very spacious. It was only a minutes walk from the subway and very close to Central Park. The Upper West Side...

Stayed at the hotel for four nights and enjoyed every minute. The room was a tad small (it is Manhattan), but exceptionally clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable and the linens were fresh. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Complimentary WiFi. Close to the subway. If you stay at The Lucerne but sure to visit Insomnia Cookie (across the...

We booked the room through Expedia for a one night stay in NYC. I called the hotel prior to arriving, and was advised that they had a discount parking partnership with a local garage who, with validation cost only $38 dollars instead of $60. Our room was cozy, but clean and comfortable. The bathroom was quite nice, with a great...

We recently stayed at the Lucerne while at a Teachers College conference. The hotel has an excellent location. It is located bout 150 yards from a subway station, which runs the 1 and 2 lines. Very safe residential neighborhood. There is a drug store/grocery across the street, open 24/7--great for stopping for snacks and drinks. The hotel has very friendly...

I was giving a talk at Columbia University, and the university booked this hotel for me--they got a rate of $220/night for a truly huge and lovely room (see my pics). This is a seriously good deal for Manhattan. Arrival was great: doorman helped me with my bags, the lady at the front desk was friendly and efficient. There's a...
