The hotel is dirty. The carpet is placed on an uneven floor, like a temporary camping. They do not make up the room daily and even forgot to put towels in the room. Very noisy, big street work are happening and they do not pre informe their guests. No amenities, No gym, no coffee or any food available in the hotel.

This isn’t even a 1. Everything about this hotel says “cheap”. The rooms are dirty, the towels are dirty, there are no lights, the buttons to get an elevator are missing, 2 bath towels, 1 mat for the bathroom. No clock. The TV is a 15” job. No bar, no restaurant (luckily or the roaches would be obese).

NO, I repeat, DO NOT book at the BENTLEY Hotel. It's dirty, overpriced, lousy customer service, shoddy rooms, ripped beds, ripped curtains, and housekeeping only comes every other day. Nobody tells you that your room will not be cleaned every day, and getting tired at the end of the day and finding everything dirty is depressing. Pictures of the hotel online are fake. My best advice is DO NOT COME TO THIS HOTEL.

This hotel has declined since a past visit 3-4 years ago. At the entry, the overhang is crumbling away in disrepair, and with rain there was a barricade to prevent the debris from falling on your head--not a good 1st impression. The front staff was cold. Then the room had only a bath towel, with no hand towel or wash cloth. There is no coffee machine in the room and no coffee available in the hotel. The staff directs you to walk a block away, but I would not suggest any such walk for a visitor at night for food or drink. On my visit, there wasn't even a cup in the room for water. The appeal of the hotel is the large room sizes, tall ceilings and views out the large windows, but not enough to make up for the weaknesses.

While I spend about 50% of my nights in hotels for work all across the globe I have never experienced a more empathetic and accommodating group of staff in my entire life. As a native NY’er and COVID restrictions at the hospital I needed a place to rest for my Dad. The schedules got moved around 5 times, there were delays and with check in being at 3 and out at noon, we couldn’t figure out how to make it work and I was stressed out as we need to be very close by. These people from the moment I booked over the phone to the 4 times I had to change stuff around, each time I was treated with such grace and empathy - they figured out how to accommodate. I can ish there was more I could do to thank them but just know when you are staying here that you will be treated like family. Thank you!!!

The good news - room was clean, close to our needs of visiting family in hospital walking distance. Booking for 2 people, two beds. Late arrival, with an early start next morning. We had 2 beds. Our room had one hand towel. Tried calling, put on hold several times, phone never picked up again. No calls to the front desk were ever answered. Bath tub had sharp rust stains. We could not recommend this hotel to anyone we know.

What did I not like: Where to start? The hotel in general appeared run down and in need of refurbishment. There were only three pillows between me and my husband, which is OK bit unusual. We had o e towel between the two of us, I ended up using a hand towel to dry my hair and body. There were tea or coffee facilities in the room, again could get over this if there were facilities in the hotel but the resturant was closed. So you couldn't get anything to eat or drink without leaving the hotel, although you could order room service through "butler" which is like deliveroo. This however had a massive mark up on price. I chose this hotel as it had advertised a roof terrace, this was closed and you weren't even allowed up there for the view. The room was large and spacious but really tired looking, frayed carpets, stains on the wall and floors, peeling window film, grubby bathroom and there was a TV but the remote only worked intermittently, so very frustrating if trying to change channel or volume. Our room had a mini fridge which did work but came empty, wouldn't mind but as said no resturant, so at least a bottle of water would of been nice. Overall I cannot recommend this hotel in any way shape or form. What did I like: I liked the view, although it was slightly obscured by poor quality film over the window. That really is the only thing good about the hotel, but not good enough to justify the price tag.

Recently stayed at this hotel. I had read all of the reviews some bad, most good. After staying at the hotel I believe the good reviews have to be fake! Believe the bad ones. The hotel is dated and is in disrepair. No restaurant No bar No coffee. Never found the bike someone mentioned in their review. I was told when I checked in they were out of towels? They would deliver them? Never showed. Called the next night to request towels they brought up one towel, no wash cloth? Paid $280 a night and no towel! My thought is either they are bankrupt or they are milking the hotel till they tear it down. Best advice believe the bad reviews the good ones have to be made up! Would not stay at this hotel if it were half the price of what they are charging.

My best friend and I stayed at Bentley for 4 nights and the hotel was pretty good. The beds were really comfortable and it was very clean. A couple glitches- we had to ask for more towels, only one set in the room, and we didn't have any hot water on Friday morning when we getting ready. I'm not sure if it was due to everyone getting ready at the same time or if there was a real problem. The Bentley is in a good neighborhood, my friend and I felt safe walking around even late at night. It's a bit of a walk to the subway stations, but there are two of them and you can get anywhere. Central Park is a little further than you would expect, but a nice walk.
