A friend and I stayed here for a 4 day trip to NYC. The hotel is in a great location - a nice 10-15 minute walk from Penn Station, where we came in and out of, and close to the subway and a ton of restaurants. Around the corners from the hotel there is a McDonalds, a bagel place, and...

Got a very good rate at this hotel on booking.com and gave it a try based on the Tripadvisor reviews. A good hotel with clean room and good amenities for the price. Great location at the corner of Lexington Avenue! The breakfast was fine, but nothing hot was served. There were European tourists shoving donuts in their pockets, so the...

Location was good, not too far from the subway and the local bus service downtown to the Staten Island ferry. The lobby was good and the service efficient. The lift was not good, only one of them worked and it was really really slow but I was told that it was going to be replaced. On first glance the room...

The staff are very nice and always willing to help. The bed was very comfortable but the hotel is very dated. The lift was really slow and took ages to arrive. Good location, not to far from any of the attractions and some good restaurants nearby.

I was so excited at visiting New York and it was our 35th wedding anniversary. I booked this hotel through Jet Holidays and was assured that even though it is 3 star, that it was of a high quality. But the rooms are very small, only 1 lift worked and that very slowly, we were on the 11th floor. But...

Dear Lynne W, I am truly sorry to hear that we disappointed you during your stay– especially considering the special occasion! Regarding the elevator, we are currently working on updating the second lift to make sure that it can be as efficient as possible in the future. Unfortunately, it does mean that in the meantime, waits are a little bit...

It was a very comfortable bed with food pillows. I just had to sleep here for two nights. Didn't really have to do any work in the room. Good thing. I found it dark with the lighting they had even though it was all turned on. One elevator was broken so it took ages to get to the 12th floor....

Mattress fantastic, room facilities excellent. Would have been useful if both elevators were working. Excellent price for central location. Walk to Empire State Building in 10 mins and penn station in 20 mins

My wife and I stayed here, whilst on a short holiday and thoroughly enjoyed it. The lobby is bright and welcoming with friendly staff at every turn. The rooms are very slightly dated, yet very clean. The complimentary breakfast provided was more than adequate and had plenty of choice. My only (small) gripe, was that the shower pressure was pretty...

Stayed here for a short, last minute business trip. Lobby area is updated and has a computer and printer to print boarding passes. Rooms and hallways are old school and a bit dark, but seemed clean. Great location. It was fine for a night or two and it was a reasonable price when nothing else was. My only staff interaction...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
