Hotel Metro is a great hotel for people looking to stay right at the center. It's right next to Macy's and lots of other stores and the subway is 200 meters away. Breakfast is very basic, it's mostly pastries, yogurt and fruit, but the hotel has a restaurant with more substantial options, with an English breakfast that costs 6 dollars...

I loved this Hotel. The staff were very friendly and the location is perfect as round the corner from Macy's and the Empire state. Times Square is also not far away and you can walk up Fifth avenue to get to Central park. Breakfast was included which made it good value and we also paid for the cooked breakfast one...

We booked a four night break and chose the Metro based on reviews, location and the fact breakfast was included, with the option of a very reasonable $5.95 cooked option. We were not disappointed in any way. The hotel is in a great location, very near Penn Station and a subway station at the end of the street. We were...

Thanks for taking the time to provide such a great review. We are glad you enjoyed the additional amenities that are standard when booking a Premier Level room - in-room coffee maker, welcome beverages, and higher floor. It would be lovely to welcome you back! Thank you.

Do not stay here if you have a small child that will not sleep in a bed by themselves as they require you to book the 2 Double beds room. You cannot stay in a Queen or King room with 3 people even though your child is only 2 and sleeps with you. Then on top of that, they also...

I can't put it in another words but the hotel was amazing! The staff were so friendly and would help with anything! The room was always clean and couldn't make any fault! The hotel was perfectly located for visiting all the sights. Close to bus stops and also near a subway. You was in the heart of New York City....

After a lot of searching on various websites we booked the Metro because it was so central. We looked at other hotels in different areas but with the travelling into the city and out again daily, I really don't think you save much money. On arrival around 9.30pm we were checked in to a standard room which I had asked...

Upon arrival at the metro we were greeted with very friendly and helpful staff, checking in was fast and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable just right for a good nights sleep . Perfectly located for visiting all the sights. Bus stops close by. A fantastic view of the city on the higher floors

Our first time in New York and we were so pleased to have booked this hotel. The lobby decor is very elegant, art deco with pictures of famous old movie stars and constant music befitting the era. We were lucky enough to have a suite on the eleventh floor with great views. From one window we overlooked Macy's and from...

Excellent hotel in a superb position. Cant fault anything. The breakfast, free hot drinks, wine and roof terrace were all a great added bonus. We had a bottle of bubbly waiting for us as it was my 50th birthday present. Would definitely return to this hotel and recommend to all.

Situated between 5th and 6th avenue and right around the corner from the ESB. Restaurants, bars, shops all right on the door step. But yet a quiet room. Small in size but great for price paid. Free coffee all day, free breakfast and free wine sessions during the evening....a little gem with a roof top view of ESB

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
