We stayed in the Metro for a week before Christmas. On the plus side. The hotel has a great location for exploring NY and shopping. The room was a decent size and well looked after, clean and comfortable. We asked for a room high up...More
We spent 4 nights here the beginning of October. Somehow wound up on the Penthouse level. There is a rooftop bar here, with pricey drinks that you don't have to buy. Come a bit later, BYOB, and enjoy the view of the Empire State Building...More

This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the
affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Hi, we didn't pre-book any of the attractions. We knew where we wanted to go and used the in-house concierge to help us plan what we needed. The concierge knew all the various and "best" options for what we wanted to do, so we used him extensively. Tickets to the hop-on hop-off bus and the empire state building can be purchased around the corner from the hotel from any of the vendors there, which will let you bypass the queues.
