We stayed at the Metro in April and were thrilled with the location and hotel. The staff were most helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were cleaned daily, clean towels and bleached toilets!! The shower was great too! Ideal situation for all sight-seeing in New York. We would definitely recommend this hotel - it was booked as...

Stayed here for 3 nights with my husband and another couple. We all enjoyed our stay and have nothing but wonderful things to say about the Hotel Metro. The location is central to lots of attractions. The rooms were good size and spotless. Bathrooms were a little small but the shower was terrific-with wall, rain shower head and handheld options....

We booked this hotel as part of a package deal, but we weren't disappointed. A great central location, near to Macy's and the Empire State Building and a short walk to Time Square. The room was clean, well appointed, ours on the 9th floored the back of the hotel, a great bed, queen sized and very comfortable. A walk in...

My partner booked a premier room and put in a request for a nice room with view as it was for my birthday. When we arrived the lady on reception told us they had upgraded us to a suite for no extra charge. The suite was on the 12th floor and was superb with views over the Empire State Building...

This was our first trip to NYC and to the USA and I have to say we could not have chosen a better hotel. To begin with, the staff: all of them were polite, friendly and helpful and all provided a warm welcome at all times. The location is good and easy to find, and is also close to many...

The Hotel Metro is in a fantastic position in New York. A minute's walk from Macy's and two from the Empire State Building. Indeed, both can be seen from the hotel terrace on the roof, the Empire State impressively so. Times Square is a 5-10 minute walk, depending on how fast your pace. It is midway between uptown (Central Park,...

Our first time ever in New York. We stayed at Hotel Metro for 5 nights for our honeymoon and loved every minute of it :-) . We were upgraded to a Superior Queen Suite, our room was really lovely and clean - no complaints at all. The breakfast every morning always had a large selection to choose from and saved...

We stayed at Hotel Metro for a few days from 11th April 13', and it was brilliant. For starters, when we arrived at the hotel, we were given an upgrade from a standard room (with one bed) to a suite with 2 double beds and a kingsize - perfection! The room was clean, the staff were courteous and the breakfast...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
