My daughter and I just returned from a trip to NYC and stayed for 2 nights. I requested a quiet upper floor room that was facing away from the street and they delivered! The rooms are actually a decent size for NYC for and the "rain shower" in the bathroom is fantastic. The entire staff is very polite and accommodating....

Fantastic location, great room and the breakfast is terrific. The view of the Empire State building from our window was a bonus ! The bar and restaurant are also excellent - I would definitely stay here again.

Just arrived back from a four night break at this lovely hotel. It is in a fantastic location within a 10min walk of most sights and a 10min cab ride to central park or wall street. The rooms were excellent' we booked a premier queen which was on the 8th floor at the front of the hotel and was larger...

Getting here. $52 flat rate taxi fare from JFK to Manhattan (and vice versa), plus toll $6 plus tips – about 15-20%. Allow about 30mins ride. Hotel. Small very good hotel with only 12 floors. Penthouse floor has the gym and rooftop terrace that looks up to the Empire State Building. Smoking area here too. Free continental breakfast and 24hrs...

Third stay while traveling for business. Hotel has a great location, service and comfort level. Guests are mostly vacationers. Everyone is friendly and it's fun and safe to stay here. Classy and clean.

Stayed at Hotel Metro for a three night stay to New York. It has a central location, our room was actually surprisingly large, and there were free bagels and coffee in the morning (although the atmosphere in the breakfast room felt more hostel than hotel at times). Against the £ exchange rate it was a fairly pricey hotel - I...

If you're looking for a hotel that couldn't be closer to everything, this is it as far as we were concerned. We were first told about this hotel by the travel agents we booked it through, I was extremely dubious about this- anyone who has read my review on the sensotori in Mexico will understand my feelings on recommendations from...

We came to NYC for the Big East Mens Basketball Tournament and stayed a week at Hotel Metro. Really enjoyed our stay. Staff was helpful and courteous. Hotel was quiet. Convenient location. Great subway access. Last stayed in a large chain hotel in center of Times Square but this was much better! Found it on trip advisor and agree with...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
