The Roosevelt Hotels lobby is beautiful but the rooms are extremely small with little or no amenities. You will be charged a required additional fee that does include your wifi, but nothing else. Cleanliness of rooms is ok, but dead bugs in the corner stayed all 5 days. All total we paid $2400.00 for a marginal, crowded room with a...

Beautiful hotel so special. Yes it is old but with so much character. The rooms, the staff, the restaurant were all great. Special mention for Alfredo on the front desk who looked after us so well , thank you. We had the best stay for many years, we travel from our home in Spain every other year to New York...

We stayed at the Roosevelt Hotel 26-30 November 2016; this was our second stay over the years. The hotel is a lovely old building in a great location! The service was good in all areas. The hotel staff members were polite and considerate. The elevators were slow, but that is due to renovation, and with a little forethought not an...

The hotel was perfectly fine for me. Didn't spend any time in the room as I was out and about. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Elevators were slow but they are in the process of upgrading. Great location. Friendly staff. I don't require much attention so I was perfectly satisfied. If you like perfection and are expecting the Ritz, don't...

Absolutely disgusting the way you are treated. We came to new York for our honeymoon and thought we'd found a beautiful hotel 4 🌟. (whatever)!! The lobby area is amazing but our room was very small. Didn't get the nice pillows that was pictured we got small hard ones. House keeping banging on our door at 9am even though check...

This was my first stay and it will be my last. I was surprised when I entered my room and found the windows open (outside temperature ~ 40 F) and all of the dresser drawers pulled open. The paint was peeling and the shower curtain was missing (see photos) This room should have been updated at least 20 years ago....

A real disappointment- looked good on line but it is run down and dated. Decor and plumbing feel like it's from 1960's! First room was so small we could not open suitcases on the floor, central heating was like a metal on metal hammer all night, window was broken, enamel badly damaged in bath and plug mechanism didn't work! Paid...

This hotel has a good location close to Grand Central Terminal. It is a large hotel and the lobby and the bar can be very busy. Was told by the taxi driver that the doormen was not very polite. When arriving at the hotel, one of the doormen was very rude towards some of the drivers that tried to deliver...

I really wanted to come home and write a positive review after reading negative ones. The hotel has history, a beautiful lobby, comfy beds, working lifts, a great location and gave us a good breakfast in lieu of our broken television. Despite the positives, however, the corridor on our floor did resemble something from 'The Shining', our sink was cracked...

We stayed 5 nights in this lovely hotel, it's very old school in its decor, traditional and of a more romantic age. It is a little bit in need of some loving attention as in parts it's a bit frayed at the edges. The bar is a lovely area to relax after a long day on your feet and the...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
