The best bit about this hotel is the location and the entrance. The hotel itself is fine, just it's definitely due a refurb. The rooms size is fine and the staff on the desk are helpful. It does get noisy though at night, i was on a room facing 45th st. And on saturday night i could hear people yelling

We spent only a night there. Great location in midtown Manhattan. The hotel is like a piece of well preserved history. Very clean. The bed was big and comfortable. The Room was rather small, but average to New York city standards.

Stayed for 6 days over Christmas 2016. We booked this as it was showing as 4 stars and a place where various 'heads of state' have stayed - can't beat that as a recommendation! However, this was maybe the case many years ago as the hotel is in dis-repair. The communal areas are fine and look lovely and grand and...

Good location and great grand entrance, unfortunately one or two snags Rooms are a shade small for the price Lack of in room facilities e.g. No mini bar or pay tv A few things here and there in the hotel appear to be held together by duck tape (the old mail system which would be such a show piece if...

This hotel is so gorgeous and glamorous as you walk into the main lobby. The rooms are great though I was very disappointed with the size. It was so small there was hardly any room to walk around and the same with the bathroom. But I won't complain too much of that as I hardly spent any time in the...

Reserved two rooms with king-size beds for family visit. Spacious rooms with great views and service was great. Great location for walking visits to midtown sites and easy travel connections to downtown and upper Manhattan sites too. Only minor issue was elevator waits, at times; but, have had that same experience at the three other midtown hotels we had stayed...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
