We planned our trip to Crater Lake quite late (about one month in advance) so never thought we'd be able to get a room here as they were all fully booked by then. But read somewhere that it you just keep checking there are always cancelations at the last minute. So this was what I did for about a week,...

When I was planning our trip through southern Oregon and northern California that included Crater Lake, I knew there was only one place that we would be staying in that park, the lodge overlooking the lake. Sure I checked a few reviews, but having visited several National Parks and stayed in many of the lodges in these parks, I sort...

Don't expect your typical modern hotel room. You won't get an air conditioner and a TV. What you will get is a view like no other, a trip back to the 50s and 60s in terms of charm, and a feeling that you're truly away from the city. However, there is available Internet access, so you won't entirely be cut...

One of the most beautiful lakes i've been to! So deep, blue and massive. Was more interested in photography, and it was a fantastic place for that! Great place to see the beautiful skies reflected in the lake at sunrise and sunset.

We stayed here for one night and it was the last night they were open for the season. It is a great place and has great charm as an old national park hotel. We had a room with a view of the lake and it was outstanding. Even had a great view from the bathtub. No shower but still great....

Great location and public spaces. The restaurant was very good. But the service is poor. I reported my heater to be broken 3 times before someone looked at it. By then it was 9 pm and was told nothing could be done until the next day. It was snowing outside. When I dropped an earring back on the floor I...

Crater Lake Lodge is an historically significant structure. There is an exhibit on its history right near the front desk. Our room was very cozy (read that as"small") but sufficient. There are no televisions but the Wifi was decent. There are ranger talks nightly by the large fireplace. All in all a good experience.

Everything about crater lake lodge is wonderful. We arrived about 9:30 AM to a stunning drive in. However the weather gods needed some amusement, and within an hour the entire area was blanketed with fog, sleet and snow. We had booked a narrated trolley tour around the lake, which we did but could see nothing. The Ranger that was doing...

Just passed through on a day trip. Instead of stopping further down the road at another restaurant, we decided to trek up to the lodge for lunch. I am glad we did. It's a quaint and cozy hotel overlooking the crater. We came in from outdoors and warmed up in front of the fire place quickly, put our names on...

We wanted to stay at the Lodge on the 100th anniversary. The rooms have been done and are quite nice. The dinner and breakfast was also excellent. Expect to spend $400 for lodging, dinner, wine and breakfast. Sit in front of the fireplace.
