We stayed here for one night on our way to Yosemite. Is fairly basic, a b and b sort of place. Decent value and the breakfast was okay. Rooms are a little dated, but nice in an old fashioned sort of way. My wife really...More
My husband and I decided to take a very last minute trip up to Mammoth for Christmas, and were lucky to find this place had a room.
The location right in town was fantastic.
Service was wonderful.

Ditto, the hot tub was working in July but I did not use it and it was at a different building than my room. I had the same thought that it would be a great treat after hiking for 10 hours but my personal schedule didn't permit and the bath in my suite was so comfy I didn't feel I missed out. Regarding the post about breakfast, I thought a made-to-order, homemade breakfast of waffles/pancakes and eggs was actually pretty sweet. Cereal is an option but they usually had a warm breakfast offering if you show up on time. Hot tea and coffee all day in the lounge by the fireplace. Great Inn.

"Second-floor room towards the woods would be nice."
