I'm a frequent visitor to beautiful Mammoth Lakes and have stayed in many condos, cabins, and hotels. We were pleasantly surprised by the great deal we got at the Shilo. Its not the fanciest place in town, but our dog friendly ($20 extra) room was spacious and clean. Includes microwave, sink, small fridge, love seat. Icemakers close. Pool and spa...

I stayed here in the past and this time it was just as good as the last time. Room on the top (4th) floor. 2 queen size beds in a comfortably big room. Lots of space with a small table and chairs big enough for a couple pizza boxes. Beds are a bit hard, but the Pillows are the best....

Was there with my wife and our 4 yo daughter. We all loved it. Location, price, even the clumsy way breakfast was served. Rooms were ok, just their bathrooms could have been better. Will go there again most likely next year.

I stay here twice a month for business. I have had good and bad service/ rooms. If you like ROCK hard beds this is a perfect place. I'm still looking for the room that has a descent bed. The rooms are clean and acceptable but this isn't a 4 star place. The staff can be really helpful at times and...

I stayed here as a teen with my parents. I thought it would be fun to now take my own family. let's just say, nothing has been updated since the 80s! The pool/spa felt unclean. The breakfast was slim pickings, and the eating area dirty. The reception staff were all young adults maybe students, who really could not be bothered...

On the plus side -- staff was efficient and courteous; location was convenient; several restaurants within walking distance; price was reasonable; room was generously sized and clean. On the negative side -- maintenance seems to be slipping: window in room was loose and rattled in the wind; valve in shower leaked continuously when on; curtains were torn; poorly patched caulking...

Nothing fancy but clean and great location. Honestly, the room rate is high for such a basic room, but that's Mammoth. One funny thing: the water in our sink was connected backwards -- turn on cold water and you get hot, and when you turn on hot water you get cold! Oh well . . . once we figured that...

Our room was large, clean, and comfortable. They had a nice indoor pool which was on the large size. And I really appreciated the ocvered garage parking...very important in an area which gets lots of snow during the winter. The hotel is close to many of the businesses that make up the commercial area of Mammoth. The drawback to the...

Hotel is well outdated and definitely needs a remodel and a bit TLC but you can't beat the location and the cozy beds. The pool and jacuzzi were perfect for a long day of great skiing on the mountain. I would go back

This is/was always the best location for a ski weekend to mammoth. It is also ideal with a 24/hour Jacuzzi. Rooms are bigger and have refrigerator, microwave and coffee...and they even do some breakfast. However, the place is really run down and poorly cared for...and they don't seem to even care! TV wasn't working. Several lights were out in the...
