Fantastic backdrop to the campsite. Facilities need some work. More bathrooms, showers would be nice. Deer are not only everywhere in the area in great numbers, they were also in the camp every night! Nice treat. We used the camp as a base for our Black Hills visit as did the reverse a few years ago.

If you are heading east or west, this is a great stop. The koa is at the base of the national park. You could walk to the visitor center. Good facilities, nice view of the tower. For cheaper stay, the national park campground us near, but with limited facilities.

This is pretty much a standard KOA--efficient, clean, well-run, expensive. Some KOAs are... creative... with their names; the "Cooperstown KOA" is thirteen miles from Cooperstown, and so forth. This one isn't. It is literally just outside the border of the national monument, and 4000 feet as the crow flies from Devils Tower itself. This means that you have a view...

We came here a couple years ago for a trip to devils tower and the place was awful totally disgusting... There aren't many places around here so good luck and stay away from the restaurant the food is over priced and very basic and terrible and dirty as well dead flies everywhere...

Almost all of the tent sites are set up right at the edge of the campground with perfect view of Devil's Tower. The whole place is located right at the entrance to the monument, so, really, the location can't be beat. We paid $42 for our site online, but then we were charged an additional $7 at check-in. I even...

Checked in late night with husband and two YOUNG KIDS. Terrible time finding the open slots sign said they had. Couldn't go back to pay so after just 4 hours sleep I rush up to check in. ANN at the desk was old mean. We were informed we owed 76 plus dollars and had to vacate by 11 NO EXCEPTIONS....

Typical KOA with spectacular view of Devils Tower. Campground sits at base of Devils Tower. Lots of wild life running through park. We watched deer cross the meadow outside our RV, Buffalo on hill. Good flat gravel sites with full hookups. Nice pool. Movie "Close Encounters of a Third Kind" played nightly in shadow of Tower it was filmed around....

Not a bad place to camp, just outside the entrance to the monument. However, I was promised a view of Devil's Tower from our campsite. I suppose it depends on how one defines "view." It would have been a great view if I'd had a chainsaw so that I could cut down the grove of trees between my camp and...

We were a family of four driving from the east coast to Wyoming. Being light sleepers, our main concerns are cleanliness, and quiet and dark for sleeping. We rented one of the tiny cabins at the KOA. We knew what to expect. I'm not complaining, just want you to know what to expect. The cabin was tiny, very close quarters...

Impressive location at bottom of Devil's Tower National Monument. ..stayed at the basic "kabin" pictured...river behind it...offer nightly screening of Close Encounters of the Third Kind...with the tower in view behind ...hayrides to areas not seen by the general public. ..this is my favorite KOA!
