One night's stay at this place and you will know how terrified the patrons of the Bates Motel were. We stayed here 2 nights, because unfortunately we had a family member in the hospital nearby. I would suggest leaving a light on or the TV on while you sleep and no food around because we found rat poop underneath our...

This place is a cool dive on the island. We don't go for the food. We go because the regulars are great, and this bar has the best bartender. Ashlee is hysterically funny. Has the best personality ever. Every time we're on island we go to the Tyee to see if Ashlee is working. If she is, we always stay...

Very clean room, but could not control the temperature. It was chilly outside, but we were sweating inside the room. The thermostat was broken. This room was not worth the $90 it cost. No bathtub, only a shower and no other amenities. The TV signal was horrible as well. Cafe food was pretty good and a decent price. Service was...

If the restaurant is busy, prepare yourself for a crash course in poor customer service. At least one member of the staff appeared to be sympathetic. Essentially a basic diner menu and general diner atmosphere - with a bar area adjacent to the restaurant. I wish I could review the food itself, but like others who have left reviews, I...

The rooms here are basic. Comfortable bed, white linens that are fairly plush and soft, flat screen TV. There is no refrigerator, no coffee pot and shower only. I recommend asking for a room on the ends so there is little noise from other tenants. Ours was #1, which is on the end toward the road, but we really noticed...

I'm not sure if the Washington St Health Department grades restaurants and motels but, if they did, The Tyee Cafe and Motel would get an F, for the smell of the place alone! Moldy, Mildewy(?), Musty, Sour, smell! Cobwebs in the corners, lime (or calcium?) build up on shower head. No place to lay a comb, brush or toothpaste tube...

Unfortunately, I spent the night at The Tyee Motel and ate at TheTyee Café before I thought to do a Google search and read the reviews. On a vacation road trip, Hung around Front St. later than I planned and all the B&Bs were booked but, wasn't ready to leave the area yet. Was told that this was the only...

Stayed 1 night at Tyee Motel and that was TOO LONG!! Asked to see the room first and was told that housekeeping had not cleaned the rooms yet (12 rooms and 12:30 in the afternoon), come back after 2pm. When I checked in, I told the Owner that I had a service animal and was informed that any animal, including...

Pros: price, location, & restaurant. The restaurant had good sea food, the prices were good, and gave generous portions. Cons: the motel smelled of mildew and a lot of the units did not have screens on the front window. No air conditioning. To check in you have to go to the bar. The wi-fi didn't work all the time. The...

The only reason I gave it two stars was because the bed was comfortable, the bedding decent, and the room was clean enough (although the carpet seriously needs to be replaced.) Otherwise, I'd say this place is pretty much an overpriced dump. First off, I was pretty shocked that you have to check-in at their trashy bar. Not a good...
