Love this sweet hotel. Perfect location off the square on a quiet side street. Picturesque brownstone style. They cover the details - extra pillows and blanket, water that's included. Wifi, breakfast included. A dark makeup removal washcloth. A wine gathering at dusk. An adorable little garden patio in between the buildings. It's a short walk to some of the best...

This is a very lovely boutique hotel in a good location. It is quiet as it is located around the corner from the square. There are lots of restaurants nearby and public transportation is convenient. Staff was very nice and helpful. Room was nice and bathroom was newly renovated. The only issue was that we were on the third floor...

Dear Joi2cee, Thank you for writing a review, and your kind words about the hotel and our staff. We appreciate your mentioning of the stairs for the third floor rooms in the 1711 & 1717 buildings. Often we try to ask our guests at check-in, if they are comfortable with the stairs. We always insist on carrying the luggage, which...

Fantastic location on a very quiet street in the heart of downtown Philadelphia. We had a great room on the 3rd floor. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had everything we needed. It was a lovely room and the staff are charming. We especially enjoyed our breakfast. The breakfast room is like something out of a storybook. Everything...

We loved our one night spent here. The rooms and bathrooms are excellent as was the staff. There are tea, coffee, and cookies available 24/7. There is also a wine and cheese social hour at 5pm. Hotel is very clean and within walking g distance to many bars, restaurants and attractions. I would highly recommended this hotel!

Charming, elegant building exterior with a very friendly and well organized staff. Our room was very clean and the French provincial furniture was appealing, and only steps from the lobby. It was very quiet and the central heat wirked very well for fine temperature control. The large walk-in shower with two heads - one as douche, was unexpected benefit! Enjoyed...

We normally stay in larger hotels, but decided we wanted a change, and this was a great choice. The little hotel is on a quiet street, just off Rittenhouse Square, so the location could not be better. It is meticulously run, the staff are friendly and accommodating, the building is beautifully maintained and has great character, and the included breakfast...

Very friendly and acconmmodating staff. Clean rooms with good beds. Rittenhouse Park lovely and a French bistro called "Le Parc" around the corner. Parking is done at the Latimer Garage a few blocks away (cash only!). The continental breakfast was quite good with freshly squeezed orange juice and pastry. Made a round trip walk that day to Independence Hall and...

Dear Emily E, Thank you so much for the five star rating and your kind words about the staff and the hotel. You really were able to get a lot in during your short stay in Philadelphia, while retrieving your passport so that you could set sail. I hope you had a wonderful time, as it sounded so exciting. Our only regret after a one night visit was that it was so short. The staff, both late afternoon and morning, could not have been more helpful. The room was lovely and quiet and the bathroom large and well equipped. We did not have time for the evening wine reception but others were clearly enjoying it. The continental breakfast, complete...

20 room hotel in a brownstone in Center City. Feels like a London B&B, particularly with the self-serve breakfast in the lower level. Room comfortable and attractive with old world furniture. Obtaining hot water took a long time (minute) from the sink. Staff particularly attentive and helpful. Great location for dining and bars and the old part of the city.

Dear Scott C, Thank you for the review and your kind words about our staff and comparing us to a London B&B. We are sorry to hear about the delay of hot water from the sink. Upgraded to Presidential Suite for our one night in Philadelphia. Lovely, duplex room with spiral staircase, fireplace, two bathrooms, only thing lacking was a bathtub. Parking in nearby garage a challenge, given bad weather. Suggest valet parking for a hotel of this quality. Great staff, friendly and helpful, greeted with wine and cheese in the drawing room, festive way to...
