This is a comfortable inn, centrally located and quiet, with friendly and helpful proprietors as well as employees. My only criticism is that housekeeping merely provided a clean bath mat, and although we intended to reuse our towels during the 2 night stay, we would have appreciated clean washcloths, and empty trash cans.

Nice little place on rittenhouse square. feels like a family home with nice rooms. The breakfast room is your own private little kitchen in the basement. The living room and hidden garden is also exciting. Very friendly and helpful team. Overall a wonderful experience

I've stayed at several high-end hotels in Phildelphia and I always know what I'm getting with the Rittenhouse. It's a classic, and one that I doubt will ever change. The kind of experience that one expects at an old-world, high-end hotel. Although the rooms are older, the interiors aren't lacking and are very spacious. The staff are exceptional, just as...

I stayed at Rittenhouse 1715 for one night while I was in Philadelphia for a race. The location was perfect for me: close to Rittenhouse Square, to restaurants and shopping, and to transportation. The staff could not have been more lovely. They were welcoming and helpful and made me feel at home. They even ensured that since I needed to...

Dear cjkran, Thank you so much for your five star review. We are grateful to hear you felt at home and got a restful night sleep . I remember you at check-in because you were so gracious even though the room was not ready, and we discussed having an option for you at breakfast. This is how we establish long...

Love this sweet hotel. Perfect location off the square on a quiet side street. Picturesque brownstone style. They cover the details - extra pillows and blanket, water that's included. Wifi, breakfast included. A dark makeup removal washcloth. A wine gathering at dusk. An adorable little garden patio in between the buildings. It's a short walk to some of the best...

This is a very lovely boutique hotel in a good location. It is quiet as it is located around the corner from the square. There are lots of restaurants nearby and public transportation is convenient. Staff was very nice and helpful. Room was nice and bathroom was newly renovated. The only issue was that we were on the third floor...

Dear Joi2cee, Thank you for writing a review, and your kind words about the hotel and our staff. We appreciate your mentioning of the stairs for the third floor rooms in the 1711 & 1717 buildings. Often we try to ask our guests at check-in, if they are comfortable with the stairs. We always insist on carrying the luggage, which...

Fantastic location on a very quiet street in the heart of downtown Philadelphia. We had a great room on the 3rd floor. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had everything we needed. It was a lovely room and the staff are charming. We especially enjoyed our breakfast. The breakfast room is like something out of a storybook. Everything...

We loved our one night spent here. The rooms and bathrooms are excellent as was the staff. There are tea, coffee, and cookies available 24/7. There is also a wine and cheese social hour at 5pm. Hotel is very clean and within walking g distance to many bars, restaurants and attractions. I would highly recommended this hotel!

Charming, elegant building exterior with a very friendly and well organized staff. Our room was very clean and the French provincial furniture was appealing, and only steps from the lobby. It was very quiet and the central heat wirked very well for fine temperature control. The large walk-in shower with two heads - one as douche, was unexpected benefit! Enjoyed...

We normally stay in larger hotels, but decided we wanted a change, and this was a great choice. The little hotel is on a quiet street, just off Rittenhouse Square, so the location could not be better. It is meticulously run, the staff are friendly and accommodating, the building is beautifully maintained and has great character, and the included breakfast...
