We stayed in the Tack Room, which I can't say enough about. It is large, comfortable, well equipped, lovely, and gives direct access to the horses via a porch outside French doors. We have never stayed in a better room. The bathroom is huge, with...More

I'm bringing my 10-year old grandson for a two-day/one night trip 11/2/15 to 11/3/15. He's a huge Civil War buff, and I want to check that your morning history lesson will be offered when we are there.
Also, are any restaurants for dinner close by? Walking distance or short drive?

No restaurants within walking distance, but a 10 minute car ride gets you to lots of choices. Try the Dobbin House, and eat in the tavern downstairs. Very unique.
