Battlefield Bed and Breakfast is a lovely Inn set back from the road. The first impression is the location- situated at the end of a long driveway, the buildings for the Inn are located on a lovely piece of property. It's an idyllic setting with flowers and wide lawns that invite you to relax. Our rooms were in the main... More

This was our first stay in a B&B. Very relaxing. Excellent breakfast and the afternoon cookies were phenomenal! The morning history presentations were interesting and fun. This B&B was on the battlefield, nice grounds, nice trails, quiet. I would recommend this above the B&b's in town as town is very busy and noisy.

Jaron is often our afternoon host and he has really focused on finding some excellent cookie recipes. He is also refining some great dips for our Wednesday dip day. I'll pass the word to him that you liked the cookies. Thanks for recommending our quieter country location. Warm regards, Florence March Innkeeper More

We visited Gettysburg and stayed three nights in the "Tack Room" which is part of the barn and separate, but not far from the main house. The website gives accurate descriptions of the rooms. We chose this quiet B&B mainly for its dog friendliness and privacy. Town and the battlefield are 10 minutes away. The accommodations are spacious and comfortable.... More

Hi Bob, You are right that the Tack Room is a great room to choose if you have a dog - especially if you have a dog that might whine or bark a bit if you step out. Your dog won't bother anyone. We look forward to having you back. Florence March Innkeeper More

This was my 4th visit to the Battlefield bed and breakfast Inn and I just returned home a few hours ago from a 2 night stay and I missed it as soon as we left. The atmosphere is so homey. We had a delightful stay at Battlefield B&B. The location couldn't be better as the barn was a field hospital and the oldest part of the house served as cavalry headquarters during the battle. Accommodations and food were excellent, staff was friendly and helpful. An added bonus was the pre breakfast presentation by Steve a local historian. We handled artifacts... More

We spent our stay in the Swan Cottage which we found very comfortable plenty of space and facilities. The B & B lays on a one hour talk on the Civil War before breakfast which was very interesting and informative. A well prepared breakfast follows.

My wife, my 3 year old son, and I visited Gettysburg for a few days at the end of August for my wife's birthday. When I booked at battlefield, the option popped up for a cake. Excellent. They had a delicious cake waiting in the room on the second day (my wife's actual birthday) to my specifications. The staff was... More

This is the second time we had the pleasure of staying in this historic B&B. The owners take great pride in the upkeep of the home and grounds and have made vast improvements over the years. It is a homey place to live for a few nights. The breakfast is cooked to order, with a careful mind towards dietary restrictions.... More
