This place is cozy and quaint. Our room was very comfortable. Our hosts were very pleasant and accommodating. Best of all, the rooms are priced very reasonable. Fort Davis is such an enjoyable place to visit -The mountains are beautiful - We will be back!

I booked a queen room at the Stone Village Tourist Camp. Everything was superb from the moment I checked in. The owner even let me park my car there for 2 days while I was off horse riding! The bed was so comfortable, I had the best night's sleep! (I was also tired from 9+ hours of driving so that... More

This was our 4th stay and the staff always make you feel welcome and are very helpful. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the beds very comfortable, the small grounds lovely, even though they are on the main drag thru town. The grocery and deli next door has excellent breakfast tacos, great chicken salad, and wholesome sandwiches made to order. We... More

We stayed here two nights while we explored the surrounding area - Alpine, Marfa, and the McDonald Observatory. We had a camp room and loved it. There is no AC because it is not needed, and the nights are very quiet. The beds were comfortable and the room was really clean. The market was the highlight of our stay. Paul,... More

Stayed here in one of the older rooms. The room was very nice. It was very large with a "living room", "dining area" and bedroom. The bathroom was very small but had everything you would need. The bed was so soft it was uncomfortable. The internet did not work for over 24 hours. The pool looked lovely and had a... More

We stayed here overnight after visiting Mc Donald Observatory. We stayed in one of the renovated rooms. I loved the room! Hardwood floors, chenille bedspreads and a nice, clean bathroom with a walk in shower.Got a restful sleep. I loved that we could park our car in front of our room so we would have easy access. Easy and friendly... More

This old tourist camp made me think of Nabakov and his road trips. They have postcards and pictures of other old tourist camps in the rooms and seem committed to preserving a disappearing type of lodging, which I appreciate. We stayed in a room in the old motor court building, which was comfortable and quiet. The common areas of the... More

We stayed in room 4 that had a queen, 2 chairs with footstools in a sitting area and a desk. The bed was amazing! Was made with crisp cotton sheets with a chenille blanket. The room was very clean. It had what looks like original hardwood floors. Its very quiet there and there are chairs on the porch where you... More

Clean rooms, good beds, good AC equals a good night's rest - much needed after a long hike in canyons of the surrounding desert. Also, liked having a coffee maker, microwave and mini frig in the room. Recommend this motel and would stay here again.

When we first arrived I was not sure I wanted to stay here. After we went to the room and my eyes adjusted from the bright sunlight, I was delighted. The room had a desk, side chair and 2 queen beds.
