The veranda was very delightful...we were the only guests at the time. One imagines what it was like in the 1880s. Pretty primitive I imagine. The owner was very accommodating and helpful with info about the area. Eleanor, the breakfast lady, told us her fascinating...More

Really enjoyed our stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was good, although not memorable. Management was very friendly and accommodating. Would stay there again if in the area and would recommend to anyone going to the observatory or just passing through.

There are rooms with 1 or 2 beds. Our suite had 2 queen beds. No smoking indoors or on the veranda - just in the garden. Pets need prior approval and there is a daily fee.

Hello. All of our rooms are non-smoking. Suite 9 has a king bedroom and a separate queen bedroom. It is not a pet friendly room, so no dogs have been in the room. Thanks!

Don't know what their policy is on children. When we stayed at the Veranda, there were kids there but I believe they were staying in one of the cottages in the back. Better contact the Veranda directly to make sure.
