The first room we checked into had a TV that wasn't working, and after a visit from engineering it still was not working so we requested a different room. It was also a very noisy room - we could hear trucks going by outside as well as construction noise. I noticed that one of the pillow cases on the bed...

Stayed at Hotel Indigo while moving our daughter into her college dorm at SCAD. After a long day my wife and I returned to the room to find that our used towels were removed but not replaced and the room was not cleaned at all nor the beds made. This was disappointing in and of itself. However mistakes do happen...

Stayed only one night but loved it. Rooms are nicely done. Great location and short walk to the River Front. Has restaurant and bar but unfortunately did not have time to experience them. Will definitely consider next time in Savannah.

My wife and I were traveling from the Florida Keys and she had picked this area to stay the night, everything was very nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and in the morning we had a great breakfast in the dining room. Jamilla was our server and she was the nicest person you could hope to meet, especially...

Okay let me start by saying I'm picky so consider the source, but I was just a little let down by Hotel Indio. I just hate people that complain about little things but when you pay $300+ for a room you become a that snob who expects the best. Ha. When we first checked in we were carrying about 3...

When I saw the latest review before mine, their title captured exactly how I felt about this hotel. We came for the 3 day St. Patricks Day festival and this hotel had us exactly where we wanted to be. Right across the street from the River Walk and a stones throw from the park thats next to Paula Deens place....

I had issues trying to get basic information about the hotel when calling the front desk before driving up from Tampa and ended up asking Melissa to speak to a manager (before I even arrived at the hotel) Melissa and Paulina Corral were amazing. Paulina went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of and couldn't apologize...

We were there over St. Patty's Day...location is MARVELOUS as it is on BAY street - one block off of RIVER Street. In the action of all things historic and crazy. That is GREAT!!!! As a hotel - only average...double room was so small that the standard size luggage cart could NOT get beyond the opening of the door! Hard...

Love the feel and look of this hotel. Modern, clean and comfortable. Rooms a little on the small side, but that's a Savannah historical norm. Perfect location for shopping, eating, touring, site visits and bar hopping. Staff is professional, friendly, and knowledgeable.

At every level of the value chain, I observed that this hotel runs like a free-for-all kindergarten. On arival, the valet parking was in a shambles. No excuse that it was a very busy time (fully booked for St Patrick's day festivities), because we stayed elsewhere the next night (Holiday Inn), and that hotel ran extremely smoothly. Cars were parked...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Like our Spanish-moss-draped city herself, Hotel Indigo® Savannah Historic District is the perfect mix of old and new. Our building—known to locals as the "Grand Lady on the Bay" due to her sweeping size—was once 19th-century mega-merchant Simon Guckenheimer's dry goods storage house and shop, which was filled with everything the South made best, from tobacco to canned peaches. The 1940s and '50s brought a grocery store with the city's first true coffeehouse. Now, the Grand Lady stands as a charming boutique hotel with modern style in a vibrant Ellis Square setting that reflects the essence of Savannah's renowned historic district. After a delicious breakfast or cocktail at our lobby bar, immerse yourself in our neighborhood's rich culture at City Market, located right next door. Then embark on one of the many fascinating tours Savannah has to offer; at least five of the city's iconic squares are located within roughly five blocks of our front door. Learn about the city's storied past before making your way down original cobblestone paths to famous River Street, where you can watch ships enter and exit the harbor while savoring Southern comfort food in restaurants that were once historic warehouses. ... more   less
