You can't get more centrally located than this comfortable, hospitable place in Savannah. Not only were the beds comfortable and the rooms sparkling clean, but the free breakfast was more than ample, the staff friendly and helpful, and the evening wine and cheese a delightful way to end daylight and fortify for an evening out. Very glad we stayed.

We booked this hotel to stay in the heart of downtown to allow my wife and I to walk around and take in the Savannah history. The staff is great. They are extremely hospitable and very friendly. We had an opportunity to try and find an open spot on the street to park for free in our weekend stay but...

All of the efforts of the outstanding staff, lovely accommodations, and great location can not make up for the noise at night from Congress Street. The parking garage across the street was the source of partying and/or fighting the first night. We finally contacted the front desk to call the police. The next night there was screaming in the streets...

My fiancée and I went to savannah on a weekend getaway, and this was the perfect place to stay. All the staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a perfect location. The beds were very comfortable, and our room had a balcony, which would be perfect in the spring. The wine and cheese reception was a...

First of all, a superb value for the money. A cozy room with every necessary amenity. The breakfast (included) was far superior to most breakfasts in similar lodgings. Wine and cheese is provided on nights except Sundays. We were there on a Sunday evening and the obliging staff produced beverage for us. How accommodating! It was quiet and relaxing -...

Just returned from our visit to Planter's Inn. It is a beautiful hotel and much bigger than I expected.First impression was very good as we arrived during the wine and cheese reception. I booked through Priceline, which I've done many times. I was having wine while my husband checked in, and he did not inquire about the bed type. When...

We love Savannah and we visit this treasure of city once a year for our Anniversary. There are a lot of great places to stay in Savannah but there is only one place for us and that is The Planters Inn. Why you ask well it is very simple it is centrally located in the historic district, they have a...

We recently stayed at this Inn for 2 nights and could not be happier with our choice. Karen the Concierge was so pleasant and helpful (got us great reservations, on short notice, for Friday & Saturday night) that she really enhanced our stay. When she found out it was my birthday, she made sure to share the information with the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
To sleep in the epicenter of the city's beautiful historic district, book some time here, on Reynolds Square. The Planters Inn offers elegant rooms, great service, and a jovial wine and cheese reception where people linger each afternoon. For a view, ask about one of the rooms overlooking Reynolds Square Park. Better yet, step outside the inn and get lost among the azaleas and architecture. Just make it back for your dose of wine and cheese. ... more   less
