If you're going to Portland or Multnomah Falls this is an ideal location, very nice place and not very expensive. Very convenient to the highways, restaurants and all the attractions. If you go to the Falls, take time to climb to the top; great views!
We got the corner room with the river view what an incredible sight. Staff were friendly and helpful close to the Columbia river gorge and Portland. As of the time of this review I found out that the Quay was closing what a bummer we...More

What year was this hotel last remodeled? Or,in which years have major remodeling taken place? My friend and I are having a "lively debate"(because it's SOOO important), which originated with him saying something along the lines of, "I can't believe they charge so much for a room that hasn't been remodeled since 1987!". He was oddly specific which led me to believe he had read it somewhere but, upon inquiring, he told me he could tell by the "designs, patterns, and style" of the "room decor"(carpet, curtains, wallpaper, a June 1987 issue of Playboy magazine he found under his mattress, etc.). So, if you would do us the honor of ending this intense debate, I personally would really appreciate it!
*Please note:several jokes were added to this question to make it less... Boring? In no way am I trying to insult this fine establishment and I would personally rate it 4/5 smiley faces :) the view is (somewhat) breathtakingly stunning! I never knew McDonald's had so many homeless folk that didn't order food yet still sat around as if they had! Just kidding... The Columbia River is freaking majestic as heck! Lewis and Clark did a wonderful thing when they created it! Kudos!

Last year (2014), we renovated the lobby, meeting space, hallways, elevators and nearly half of the guest rooms. The remaining guest rooms were last renovated in 2007 (approximately) and will updated later this year along with our restaurant, lounge, pool area, and building exterior. Therefore, it is safe to say that the entire property will have a contemporary look by early 2016.
Thank you for the question!
