Our first stop after Salt Lake City. Rooms were clean and tidy. Our host Jean was very helpful and even gave us British tea for our morning brew. Excellent affordable accommodation . Would recommend the Fossil Butte Motel to anyone

Although small in the number of rooms available and a true motel, this place is clean, modern and the rooms are roomy. The staff were very courteous and helpful and the price was very affordable. Would recommend this to anyone staying in Kemmerer to explore the fossils that abound here.

This little gem was a very nice surprise. Low prices ($68/night plus tax which only brought it up to $74) and a 'real' coffee maker in the room (the kind with a glass carafe so you can make a pot of hot water if you want too) instead of those one cup jobbies so many rooms have now with just...

Rooms are clean and the staff is excellent. They have the ability to cater to both sportsman and simple overnight stays. When needed the AC units work fine and the beds are comfortable. Rooms I have stayed in all have a small sofa for chilling. Favorite place to stay in the area.

This motel took care of our needs for a family of four including a five- and eight-year old. We planned a one night stay, but after digging for fossils, decided to stay another night. The second night they were full, so we went elsewhere, but Nina called when they had cancellations and asked if we found anything - wanted to...

This place is so clean and homey. The lady that runs it is a sweetheart. And chocolate chip cookies when you check in. Would highly recommend this place. She recommended a great place to eat and it was excellent. You parked your car right in front of your door. The rooms had a great heater and were really quiet and...

This is an older, but well maintained motel. It has an analogue TV cable system, which you would expect for such a motel. It provides a clean and quiet place to rest and sleep. That is the most important. Note that breakfast is not provided.

My husband and I spent one night. The lady that checked me in was very nice. Everything was clean and had coffee, hot chocolate to go with the little bags of cookies we got. We went to the Fossil Butte National Monument which was very interesting. El Jaliscience is right across the street and if you like Mexican food you...

“Jean, the owner, told me that each room is different. I do plan to go back to the Fossil Park during the summer so I will have a chance to try another room. I was in the corner room (#14) and it was well removed from highway noise.”
