Despite the pictures and glowing reviews on this platform, we found the hotel experience at Nu to be below par. The room and furniture looked rundown, the paint was cracked, and our bed sheets had a 2-inch hole. Our room wasn’t properly cleaned (the bathtub had moldy spots, the bath shower had mold, and the floors were dirty). On top of that, the heating in our room wasn’t working and it was pretty cold. The location and price point are good, and the hotel offers some amenities like cookies in the evening, early check in and late chale out, etc. However, it wasn’t the best experiencie for us and we won’t be returning.

Very clean, quiet, and convenient for our visit. Parking next door, breakfast included, luggage storage until room ready, and curtesy late check-out. Double room and bathroom good for the 3 of us. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel and its location is three blocks away from our son and his family. We were pleasantly surprised by the location and the neighborhood. Waiting for a check out receipt. I was not given one at check out and requested on by email.

It was without a doubt a pleasant 4 day stay the the Nu Hotel! My room was spotless and I felt safe while being there. The subway station was only 2 blocks away and many eateries are within walking distance. The complimentary breakfast was magnificent. All in all, it was the perfect place to stay and to be while returing to Brooklyn!

Wonderful gathering spot for family wedding weekend. Staff were welcoming starting with our arrival and continuing for the entire stay. Generous continental breakfasts set us up for morning walks down to the promenade. Shopping and delicious restaurants nearby. Rooms clean. Very happy with the entire experience.

The NU HOTEL is my go-to hotel whenever I am sailing on the Queen Mary out of Red Hook. I have lost count of the number of times I have stayed in this special place. One reason I am a fan is that it is NOT a huge convention hotel. At the Nu you get personal service from an awesome helpful staff. I also stay at the NU because of its location with many cafes/retail establishments nearby. With so many people out and about I always feel safe leaving the hotel to walk about. Iy helps there is a jail across the street and the brave police always seem to be around. My typical room is certainly adequate, quiet and offers everything you need for a nice stay. I don't know about connecting rooms but mine are always quiet. The housekeeping staff always does a good job and when I check in the waiting room always shines. I do have a long-standing complaint about this hotel is that all the beds are very low to the floor which makes it a bit trying to get in and out especially if you are on the older side. Be aware. It's one reason I cannot give this hotel five stars. As I mentioned, the staff at this hotel is awesome. I want to especially commend JULIE AICE (Hope spelling correct!) On the morning I checked out to go to the pier on July 21, Julie was at the front desk. She was so helpful assisting me with my luggage and fetching a car service. I will never forget how wonderful she is, and I hope the management realizes what a star she is. I look forward to returning in the future and hope you consider this hotel for your own travel needs. Modern no frills hotel that does the basics very well. Good sized comfortable rooms with a decent continental breakfast included in the package served in the rather stark lobby makes this a reasonable stay by New York standards.

This hotel has a great location for shopping and work. That's where it ends. The rooms are not well-equipped with linen, the air condition was inconsistent, the bathroom could have used a "magic eraser" and the view was non-existent.

From the moment we arrived at the Nu Hotel we knew we had made the right choice. The wonderful front desk person (Steandly) warmly greeted us and explained everything we needed to know about our stay there. He was absolutely fantastic!! As was all the staff there. The location is also excellent with tons of shopping and restaurants all in close walking distance. We cannot wait to go back!

The overall experience was great. The parking was a bit expensive but that's BK nowadays. We didn't let it spoil a great trip. The standouts were definitely the customer service at the front desk and the bed. The mattress oddly stands out. We got a great sleep. The cleanness of the accommodations was also a factor.
